Bundle of Love Scrapbook Page for Baby Girl

Baby-scrapbook-bundle-of-loveToday's project is a simple pocket page for the new baby girl in our family using the Bundle of Love Memories and More card set and Specialty Designer Paper.

The cards in this Memories and More set will work for pink or blue themed albums.  Just a simple flip of the card and you'll find one or the other color.  This beautiful designer series paper collection coordinates perfectly.  Here I have cut 4" x 6" pieces as place holders until I get my photos printed.  There are cards ready for journaling for memory keeping and accent cards such as the one seen here with the quote from the book by Robert Munsch, I'll Love You Forever.

Tuesday Tip- Clustering Technique

Tip-clustering

For today's tip, here's a fun technique that's easy to do with your clear photopolymer sentiment stamps.  Create an awesome background or partial background for a unique, one of a kind look.

For best results, use a bold color and a lighter shade of the same hue.  Let's take a look at the video...please forgive the static in a couple of places.  I can't seem to figure out what's causing that!

See the clustering technique video here on You Tube.

Rubber-stamping-technique-clustering-1Lisa's Inklings:

  • Easier to do this technique by looking down directly over your card stock.  (Recording did not allow me to do that!)
  • Odd number of rows is more pleasing to the eye.
  • The two rhinestones at the top covered two oops! ink spots.
  • Try this technique at an angle on your card front.

Bundle of Love Baby Card

Bundle-of-love-baby-card

Today's project is a baby card that I made with the Bundle of Love card set and specialty designer paper for our new grandbaby, Mia Reese.

My schedule had been totally re-vamped, in a good way, with Mia's arrival and the our recent Stampin' Up! Incentive trip to Thailand!  My sleep pattern is finally back to normal, thank goodness, and I've set up a temporary craft room at our daughter's home so that I can craft AND do my job as "Honey" to help around the house and sneak in all the snuggles that I can!

Let's get back to talking about our card project! This sentiment, from one of the cards in the Memories and More kit, was perfect for card for newborn Mia.  And, notice that yummy texture on that background made with our new embossing paste...it is divine!

Let's take a look at the video tutorial for this Bundle of Love baby card.

You can see this Bundle of Love Baby card here on You Tube.

Here is this Stampin' Up! Supply List for today's card.  If you do not have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I would love to serve you!  Thank you for your consideration.

  • Give embossing paste time to dry before assembling.
  • Listed in the supplies above are the Glitter Enamel Dots but I decided to change to Pearl Basic Jewels [144219] for flower centers for the final card.

You can easily adapt this design for a card for a baby boy with a simple change of color!

Tuesday Tip- Cardmaking 101: Dressing Up Your Envelopes for Handmade Cards

Tip-envies

This evening (before Tuesday is over!), I have a quick tip for dressing up those envelopes for your handmade cards.  By using designer or patterened paper that coordinates with your cards, you can create matching envelopes for each one you make!

Let's take a look at the quick video tutorial below...

Today's video for dressing up your envelopes for handmade cards can be seen HERE on You Tube.

Lisa's Inklings...other ways to dress up envelopes:

  • Stamp image used on card on front lower corner of the envelope.
  • Use a sponge to add a coordinating color to the edges of your envelope.
  • A coordinating color of washi tape can add a "slice" of color when added about 1/4" up from the bottom edge of envelope.
  • Spritz color by mixing ink refill drops with rubbing alcohol in a Stampin' Spritzer.

Try the tip in today's video and the others listed above to dress up those envelopes for your handmade cards!

Thailand!

IMG_5550

As you read this, my husband and I are on the last days of our Stampin' Up! trip to Thailand!  The photo above shows the neat bag that contained our travel and trip information that we received about two weeks before the trip.

This trip of a lifetime would not have been possible for me to achieve without the help of my loyal customers and my amazing team, the Ink and Inspirations Stars.

IMG_5551Look at those cute elephant luggage tags...aren't they adorable?

The above photo is of the resort where we are staying.  Isn't it beautiful?  We were so excited to spend time here and visit and relax with so many Stampin' Up! friends!

My deepest gratitude to all of you who helped to make this a reality!

Tuesday Tip- Cardmaking 101: Using Liquid Glue in Cardmaking

Glue-tip-defaultToday's tip video is in response to a question I received from a reader regarding the use of liquid glue in cardmaking.

So, today I'm sharing some tips that have worked for me.  Do I ever make a big, sticky mess?  You betcha!  But, if I'll stick to my own advice, it usually works out for the best.

Here's the video with the tips...
