Today's cardmaking project and video tutorial features a special Father's Day card . You'll see a technique that is easy and packs a big punch. Have some watercolor paper on hand? Ink pads? Clear mount block? If the answer is yes, you are ready and set to go with this idea.
This technique is good to use with cards with a sentiment but no main image. It provides and colorful and fun background and no two attempts are ever the same.
Let's take a look at it in this Father's Day card video tutorial.
Making birthday cards for guys can be challenging. Today's card making project came together easily with the help of the Suite Sentiments stamp set and Urban Underground Specialty Designer Paper from Stampin' Up!.

Today is my sweet husband's birthday and the makeover is his masculine themed birthday card made with the Nailed It Bundle from Stampin' Up!
Stampin' Up! has knocked it out of the park with the bundles in the 2017 Occasions Catalog and this one is no exception! I love these tools and their coordinating framelits!
The card that was the inspiration for this one is in the video below. You can see the original post HERE. More details below the video...
In the makeover, the layout of elements from the card in the video served as the inspiration.
The card base is Very Vanilla Card Stock cut at 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 5 1/2".
The textured area is Basic Gray cut at 4" x 5 1/4".
Delightful Dijon Banner is cut at 2" x 5 1/4" then punched with the Triple Banner Punch.
The dies in the framelits collection were used to cut the background embellishments and shapes.

What inspired me to create this Going Global Masculine Card LIVE on Periscope earlier, I do not know!
And, although, it's pretty raw footage with lots of uh's in my verbage (sorry Y'all!), it was fun being able to interact with those that were watching. The input given was very helpful with the suggestion for the finishing touch for the card!
If you're not familiar with Periscope, it's a app for iOS and Android phones that enables you to record and/ or watch LIVE video from all over the world.
Anyway, if you're brave ;), take a look at the recording of this creative process below. You may also find it HERE on You Tube.
