MDS 2 and Preserving Memories-You Can Do It, Kristen!

For the last three years, I have created calendars in MDS2 for our daughters for Christmas.  I am particularly compelled to share this one of our oldest, Kristen, who will be running in her first full marathon tomorrow. 

Hers is a story of determination, devotion, faith, and triumph.   We are extremely proud and are looking forward to cheering her on toward her goal!

MDS2 provides a easy way for me to preserve and share memories such as this one for today and for future generations. 

I used the Live the Day Designer Kit for this calendar.  If you wish to see the other pages in the calendar, I've included those in the short video below.

 

The calendar is much more vibrant in real life, but isn't it awesome that it can also become a video?  I hope you enjoyed it.

My Digital Studio Scrapbooking Project Continues

Today I have a special digital page to share...it's in honor of my parents' 58th wedding anniversary!  Isn't that awesome and don't they look great?

Although I haven't been routinely creating and sharing pages from my year long scrapbooking project, Day in the Life; I have been adding pages now and then and DO plan to complete it.  This is part of the commitment to my Word of the Year: STEP.

No stuggles. No deadlines. No have-tos.  Just telling my story, one STEP at a time.

I plan to begin another project for 2013 and I have just about decided on my next "Word of the Year."  Stay tuned. :)

You don't have to report in or even tell me about it...although, I'd love for you to share! 
Whether you keep a journal, traditional or digital scrap, art journal...tell your story.

Memories with Stampin' Up! MDS 2

It's been a busy Friday morning for me!  I have been working on a set of handmade cards for a gift exchange at a Christmas party tonight and the Mr. and I went to the Christmas tree farm to carry home our tree!

After we had the tree upright in the living room and gave it a good drink of water, I grabbed my laptop to preserve the memory with MDS 2 and photos I had taken with my iPhone.

This will be another page included in my year long scrapbooking project, A Day in the Life.  You can read more about it and my word of the year HERE.

Love MDS 2!  I'm still discovering and learning to work with all the wonderful upgrades from the original My Digital Studio.  I love that I can import templates from different designer kits as a starting point.  Takes all that guess work out of "where to put what" on the page!  You can even take a 12 x 12 template and pull it into an 8 x 8 photobook which is what I did here!  Love!
