Stampin' Up! Card Idea - Saying Goodbye, Strength & Hope

Strength-hope I'll be sorry to see this Stampin' Up! Strength & Hope set go!  Here is one last card that I wanted to share made with this set.  And, TOMORROW is the last day to order it! ...available HERE!
The beautful images here are paired here with the Notably Ornate(Clear, wood) set in colors of Pool Party, Island Indigo, and Crumb Cake.  The tone on tone flourish image in Pool Party provides the perfect frame for the Notably Ornate piece.  Love that set, too!

Here's the how-to:

  1. Card base is standard 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 in Island Indigo.
  2. Pool Party layer is cute 5 1/4 x 4.
  3. Stamp flourish from Strength & Hope along the center edge of each side. Rotate card layer to stamp. (Pool Party Classic Ink)
  4. Stamp the ruled ornate image from Notably Ornate(Clear, wood) in Crumb Cake on Whisper White.  Cut out with your Paper Snips.
  5. Stamp inspiring words from Strength & Hope on ruled image in Soft Suede.
  6. Stamp butterfly and H for Hope on Whisper White in Island Indigo.
  7. Cut out butterfly and attach a Basic Jewels Pearl to the center.
  8. Punch "H" with a 1 1/4" circle punch.  These are adhered to the ruled piece with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  9. Attach entire main image to Pool Party layer, then this layer to the card base.
  10. Voila! A beautiful card to send to someone special!

Remember to get your Strength and Hope set now before the promotion ends, August 31st!

Stampin' Up! will contribute $2 from the sale to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and I will send you the link to a FREE online class that I created exclusively for those who purchase this set during this promotion!

Stampin' Up! Demonstrators- ink and inspirations

Become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I met with some of my local Stampin' Up! ink and inspirations team members about a week ago and here I am pictured with two awesome ladies, Alicia and Lynn!

Stampin' Up! Watercoloring Absolutely GORGEOUS!...and, she will be sharing this technique with a demonstration at our next team meeting!

Lynn demonstrated a great holiday project that will remain a secret for now (sorry!) because she will be demonstrating it at her first workshop in a couple of weeks!  Sure to be lots of fun!

If you love paper crafting and are interested in starting your own business, I'd love to send you some information and discuss it with you.

Stampin' Up! Sneak Peek Card Idea and a Technique Video- Gently Falling

Stampin-up-gently-falling-background

Everytime I say-- or type-- or hear the words, Gently Falling, I can hear Alicia Keys singing "Fallin' " and then, of course, I have to start singing...and, let's just say, I'm no Alicia Keys! ;)

Anyway, Stampin' Up! has another winner here with this 2-Step Stampin' set in the 2011 Holiday Mini available on September 1, 2011.  Super fun to work with and  looking forward to having a video up soon after the debut on the two steppin' !

But for now, here's a little mini tutorial with a super simple inking technique to make your cards and scrapbook pages pop! This one's a perfect card for your honey.  Try it and let me know how you like it...the inking techinque, I mean ;).

Stampin' Up! Card Idea- Beautiful Beau Chateau

Stampin Up Beau-Chateau-Side-Notes

Oh, Beau Chateau, you are so beautiful!  Stampin' Up! has really hit it big with these Side Notes.  Fabulous and fun, these provided the starting point for this card.

The Soft Suede base that was dry embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Folder was something that had been in my stash just begging to be completed! I brushed Soft Suede Classic Ink over the top with a Stampin' Sponge and tied Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon around the fold.

The Side Note had the sweet Elements of Style(wood, clear) floral image so I pulled my stamp set and stamped the same image in the upper right corner with my Soft Suede Craft Stampin' Spot and clear embossed.
I used Stampin' Write Markers in Not Quite Navy, Marina Mist, and Baja Breeze to color the flowers (the Side Note weight and texture is much like watercolor paper) and Soft Suede and Always Artichoke for the leaves.
The "for you" sentiment is also from Elements of Style and the little birds from Clearly for You (wood, clear).
I promise, you'll love these Beau Chateau Side Notes! They're mah-velous, dah-ling! ;)
