Easy Stampin' Up! Glimmer Valentines
January 09, 2012
The year is still new but it's not too early to start planning and creating your cards and projects for Valentine's Day!
Today, I'd like to share a couple of quick and easy cards using Stampin' UpI's Red Glimmer Paper. It's super shiny, glitzy, and fun.
I started by punching a Full Heart Punch out of the Glimmer Paper. After punching, I cut around the negative of the punch to use on the second mini card.
The standard sized card is stamped with En Francais in Cherry Cobbler and sponged around the edges in the same color. The ribbon is a piece of Cherry Cobbler Stripe cut in half, length wise. Amour was stamped from the Artistic Etchings (wood, clear) stamp set, punched out with Modern Label, and a hole punched with the Crop-A-Dile on the left end. A piece of Linen Thread attaches it to the striped bow.
The size of the mini card was based on the dimensions of the glimmer paper of the punched negative image. This piece was 2 1/2" wide so I cut another piece of Crumb Cake at 2 1/2 x 5" and folded it in half. The punched sentiment is from the With All My Heart set (wood, clear) with the En Francais stamped on top with ink the remained on the stamp from the first card. Faux stitching with a white gel pen adds a fun accent.
Try creating some quick and easy cards that sparkle for Valentine's Day using the Stampin' Up!'s dazzling Glimmer Paper!
