Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog Sneak Peek Anniversary Card
Our family had a great time celebrating our parents' 58th wedding anniversary yesterday. Any time you can get our family together, it's a fun time and usually involves food! So, we treated the happy couple to dinner at one of their favorite restaurants.
Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog Sneak Peek
My folks always appreciate my hand made cards and I wanted to make something extra special for this occasion. Using some of the beautiful More Amore' DSP, a NEW Honeycomb Embossing Folder, beautiful Primrose Petals Core'dinations Card Stock, and the Artisan Embellishments Kit (you're gonna love it!), I created this card.
inklings:
The Very Vanilla card base worked well since I covered the entire card front with paper. Top half is with Honeycomb impression.
Love that quote by Charles Dickens found on a sheet of the More Amore' DSP. Perfect for a long time married couple's anniversary. :)
Most of those delicate touches in the cascade are from the new Artisan Embellishment Kit. It is awesome! I added somePool Party Seam Binding Ribbon and a flagged banner piece from the DSP.
Looking forward to a great year in 2013 sharing many more project ideas and videos with you! Great Deals on the Stampin' Up! Clearance Rack! While Supplies Last!
Today I have a special digital page to share...it's in honor of my parents' 58th wedding anniversary! Isn't that awesome and don't they look great?
MDS 2 Day in the Life Honoring my Mom and Dad on their 58th Wedding Anniversary!
Although I haven't been routinely creating and sharing pages from my year long scrapbooking project, Day in the Life; I have been adding pages now and then and DO plan to complete it. This is part of the commitment to my Word of the Year: STEP.
No stuggles. No deadlines. No have-tos. Just telling my story, one STEP at a time.
I plan to begin another project for 2013 and I have just about decided on my next "Word of the Year." Stay tuned. :)
Why don't you join me in this project? You don't have to report in or even tell me about it...although, I'd love for you to share! Whether you keep a journal, traditional or digital scrap, art journal...tell your story. It matters and is deeply gratifying. Share your journey. Record your memories.

Once again, I'm back at my craft table that is 'clean' for the first time in a MONTHS! Felt so good to put ink to paper to create this card for my dad whose birthday is in January!
With the Holiday Catalog expiring in a little over a week, I decided to use some of my favorite products, theOrchard Harvest DSPand the Early Espresso Core'dinationsCard Stock. These products as well as that beautiful Brushed Bronze Button will no longer be available after January 2, 2013.
The birthday sentiment is from Memorable Moments (wood, clear) and the wonderful embossed impression is from the WoodgrainTIEF (Textured Impressions Embossing Folder) that will still be available after January 2, 2013!

Today, I have to share a beautiful Christmas card that I received from a member of the ink and inspirations team, Catherine Stewart. This beauty was created with the Ornament Keepsakes set from the Holiday Catalog. Isn't it awesome?
Stampin' Up! Ornament Keepsakes Card by Catherine Stewart
I love the single ornament in Cherry Cobbler as the focal point with the Seam Binding Ribbon and Basic Pearl as an elegant touch! Beautiful work, Catherine!

Well, the gifts are wrapped, holiday dishes prepped, and house is tidy! Let the festivities begin!
A few years ago, my sister started a new family tradition she calls "Christmas Eve Squared". On the night before Christmas Eve, our family gathers at her house to begin a three day celebration of the birth of Jesus.
She makes a pot of chili and we eat, play games, and enjoy one another as we count our blessings. It's a beginning of a special time and we all look forward to it. I hope that you are enjoying these days spending time with those you love!
I've been busy in the kitchen most of the day and tomorrow I need to tidy up around the house and wrap a few more gifts. But, I'll be in my stamp room for a bit tomorrow finishing some pretty packaging and maybe even record a video. ;)
I was up late last night working on the note card gift sets seen here using the Stippled Blossoms set (wood, clear). These come together in a jiffy and make a nice hand-made gift. I made 4 notecards for each set.
Here are a few tips to help you put a few sets together:
Cut colored card stock for the base at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".
Cut light neutral at 4 " x 5 1/2".
Stamp image on neutral piece in a corner or along an edge.
Adhere stamped piece to colored base.
Stamp image in a lower corner of each envelope.
Secure notecards and envelopes with ribbon.
These sets will be for some family members but are also good to have on hand for party hostesses or holiday visitors!
After being up late last night and the busy-ness of the day, I am ready for a goos night's rest. Our girls and their husbands will be in town for Christmas Eve and Day...so looking forward to having them!
Before I close, I want to take this opportunity to tell you how much I appreciate each and every one of you. My husband, Jackie and I would like to extend to you warm holiday greetings and blessings in this holy season. May the Spirit of Christmas fill your hearts with love and peace!
Remember to check the CLEARANCE RACK for some great deals while supplies last!!

As I continue to prepare my Christmas cards
for the mail, my heart is heavy. It is difficult to write about the
joys of the season. However, there is comfort in knowing that the Lord
is with us and is always near.
My prayers continue for those precious
families in CT and for all of us as one nation under God.
Rejoice in
the Lord always. I shall say it again: rejoice. Have no anxiety at
all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make
your requests known to God. Then, the peace of God that surpasses all
understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
