When I made this Vintage Verses Just Because card, I thought about all the folks who would love to receive a card in the mail...just because. I also thought about the box of cards I've made that are just begging to be sent.
Do you have such a box? Most card makers do. And, if you can tell me that you send every card that you create, I sincerely applaud you! That is super fantastic awesomeness!
Sharing...giving is what we are called to do, isn't it? And, so, I've made it a point to share and send more...and often!
Now, as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I like to keep card samples on hand to display at my classes and workshops and in my stamp club room.
So with the advice from my husband that he has shared since I began this card making journey, I've made TWO Vintage Verses Just Because cards. One to keep, one to share.

Our first Stampin' Up! card swap was yesterday with the group of stampers in my Sunday Stamp Club! The theme this month was Valentines! It was so much fun to trade cards and admire the love and work that was put into each creation! Each member designed a card for the month's theme and created 10 of the same card to swap and share! It's a great way to stock up on cards to keep on hand for giving. Isn't that what it's all about?
The card above is the one I designed for the swap. Here are the details:
Valentine Treats are sweet and easy when created with Stampin' Up! supplies! Notice the trendy chalkboard technique added here as the perfect accent for this decorative box.
This cute creation was designed by Robyn, a senior concept artist from the Stampin' Up! home office. I love the addition of the Tea Lace Doily to this stamped Kraft Box.

The very special Dude, You're Welcome kit from Stampin' Up! was made for men, but I like it, too!
The rugged-ness of the stamps are great for stamping a card for that man in your life! And, I love the "blank" can be filled in to suit the occasion. So get this for your man, but shhh...but, it will be great for you to use, too!
inklings:
I didn't use the the awesome card bases in the kit (saved those for hubby!) so I chose Crumb Cake and Basic Gray for my color scheme as well.
The Stampin' Up! Thoughts and Prayers set (wood, clear) make beautiful sympathy cards. This is my go-to set for sending comforting thoughts in difficult times. Included are two beautiful images but I find the heartfelt sentiments are exactly right when it's hard to find words.
Using neutral colors with a Crumb Cake emphasis, I've used the 5/8" Flower Trim and the Tea Lace Paper Doilies as accents on this card. Look closely to notice the subtle difference in color. Here's a video tutorial to show you how to get that look.

For the last three years, I have created calendars in MDS2 for our daughters for Christmas. I am particularly compelled to share this one of our oldest, Kristen, who will be running in her first full marathon tomorrow.
Hers is a story of determination, devotion, faith, and triumph. We are extremely proud and are looking forward to cheering her on toward her goal!
MDS2 provides a easy way for me to preserve and share memories such as this one for today and for future generations.
I used the Live the Day Designer Kit for this calendar. If you wish to see the other pages in the calendar, I've included those in the short video below.
The calendar is much more vibrant in real life, but isn't it awesome that it can also become a video? I hope you enjoyed it.
I"ve used some scrap card stock to create a few versions. Take a look...

Have you seen the lovely, newArtisan Embellishments Kit in the Spring Catalog? The elements are beyond beautiful! It's little details, such as in this kit, that can really make your creations look amazing.
I love starting with one or two of the pieces from the kit and use that as a starting off point for inspiration. In the card above, I chose a bit of the pink lace trim and the beautiful ivory resin blossom.
Are you eager to learn more about the details of rubber stamping and paper crafting?
Join me in the Inkspiration Classroom for NEW, exclusive classes each month! The date to order for this month have been extended to January 25, 2013.

You'll discover how easily you can add those special details through versatile projects that you could re-create over
and over again!
Join me on this creative journey... The cost?... A commitment from you to purchase a minimum of $35 in product (before shipping and tax) from my Stampin' Up! Online Store each month for a minimum of 6 months. After that first six months, you can remain a classroom member for as long as you'd like!
My poor Stippled Blossoms (wood, clear)stamp set has barely seen the light of day! What was I waiting for??? It was love at first stamp! This set features the Stampin' Up! Two Step Stampin' technique. I stamped the blossom in Primrose Petals. Then, there is a coordinating stamp, a highlights/outline/ shadow image of the same blossom, that is stamped over top of the first blossom in Raspberry Rippleto get this beautiful, dimensional looking image.
