Today is one of our son-in-law's birthdays so a special Stampin' Up! masculine birthday card has been in the works!
Our family loves to fly fish and so I used the retired Stampin' Up! set, On the Fly, as the main image with a sentiment from A Dozen Thoughts (wood, clear).
John holds the record in our family for the largest trout...this one, a brown, is a whopping 17 lbs. And, yes, he released him in hopes of catching again one day!

This card was made for someone who's been a bit under the weather so I chose a perky color, Pear Pizzazz, as my base. And, if you haven't checked out the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper (126926), you are missing out, sister! In Basic Black and Very Vanilla, you can make it fit with just about any project!
The leaves are cut with the Autumn Accent die and textured with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Folder.
The sentiment is stamped on a narrow strip of Very Vanilla with a hand cut little banner end. And, isn't that Pear Pizzazz Chevron Ribbon beautiful?
This set has seen ink so many times in my stamp room lately...it's now one of my go-to sets.
