For the containers, use the Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack. So easy—no cutting necessary!

To make the containers, apply the adhesive like this.

Roll the container into a tube, then pinch one end closed. Add candy or little gift, then pinch the other end closed in the opposite direction.

Attach a tag using a stapler, then adhere a button or other embellishment to hide the staple.

Fill a simply decorated box with the pouches and let the Christmas magic begin!

Stampin' Up! Thanksgiving Hostess Gift Idea

Getting last minute prep done for family arriving this evening but first I completed this Thanksgiving Hostess gift this morning using my Stampin' Up! supplies.

The hinged box was in my stash so that was a good start!  Dark Chocolate nugget pieces were wrapped in 3" x1" pieces of designer paper and attached with a little SNAIL adhesive.

The belly band is a strip of the same paper cut 2-1/2" x 11" and adhered to itself in the back so that it could be slipped on and off to open the box.  The ribbon was tied around this strip with the stamped sentiment tied on with Linen Thread.

Love that this is ready to go and I can resume my household chores and early meal prep.

Stampin' Up! Expressions Thinlits Card

Let's take a break from holiday cards and take a look at an expression of love card using Stampin' Up! Expressions Thinlits.

The base is of a window sheet from a retired Designer Series Paper collection that was in my stash, Night and Day.  I am partial to black and white/vanilla and was sure to stock up on some extra packs of this collection before it was no longer available. 

The "love" focal point from the Expressions Thinlits was cut from the Silver Foil Sheets from the Holiday Catalog and mounted onto the Window Frame Framelit.  The Full Heart is punched from Red Glimmer Paper to help convey the message.

The trick to using window sheets as card bases is to "hide" the adhesive with layers that compliment each other adhered on the front, inside, and the back of the base.  Here's a peek at the inside. Layer on front outside, then behind on the inside with the same repeated for the inside sentiment with a layer on the card back.

Stampin' Up! Chalk Talk Sympathy

Recently, I needed a special sympathy card to send to a friend and made this one with the Chalk Talk* (wood, clear) and Teeny Tiny Wishes(wood, clear) sets from Stampin' Up!  Here are some of the details:

• The background layer is a floral print from the Natural Composition Specialty Paper (126917) sponged with Coastal Cabana ink(131175).
• Burlap Ribbon (132140) from the Holiday Catalog provides a backdrop for the Baked Brown Sugar (131734) stamped image.
• Coordinating Chalk Talk Framelits are the perfect companions for the images in the set. * Save 15% when you purchase the stamp set and framelits together...wood bundle-132731, clear bundle-132730)
• Off the Grid (130736) stamp adds interest to the Coastal Cabana punched circle.
• Modern Label(119849) and Word Window(119857) punches serve as a mount for the sentiment.
• Vintage Trinket pin(118764) and Linen Thread (104199) add a subtle accent.

Notice the swirly image over the sentiment? Without re-inking, I stamped
the tag image over top.

Stampin' Up! Petal Cone Santa

A couple of years ago, these little Santas were created in my stamp room with the Stampin' Up! Petal Cone Die, other die cuts and a few punches.  And, let me tell you...everyone has just loved them!

But, sadly, Stampin' Up! no longer carries the Petal Cone die so I had to come up with a substitute to share.

And, thus, the Triangle Box Santas were born!
