Would you love to create a beautiful diy centerpiece for Thanksgiving? 

Here's an idea using these supplies from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog:

• Paper ribbon from the Stampin' Up! Thanksgiving Tablescape Simply Created Kit (133463) 
• Burlap Ribbon (132140---ON SALE THIS WEEK!)
• Expressions Thinlits (132171) 
• Magnificent Maple Stamp (131868)

Here are a few of the details:

1. The birchbark ribbon provides the base.  It's wrapped around the glass pillar and adhered so that it can be slipped on and off for change in seasonal decor.
2. A layer of the Chocolate Chip paper ribbon is wrapped and adhered around the center of the birch bark ribbon.
3. A long strip of the Burlap Ribbon is gathered by pulling one of the center threads. Each end is secured with a few stitches with needle and thread.  A Vintage Trinket pin attaches the two ends together in the back.
4. Three of the Magnificent Maple Leaves are stamped in Early Espresso ink...one each on Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, and Cajun Craze card stock. Cut leaves by hand then sponge with Early Espresso around the edges.
5. Apply VersaMark ink directly to the front of each leaf so that the entire surface of each leaf is convered with the ink.  Sprinkle on Clear Embossing Powder and heat emboss each leaf.  Gives a bit of shine and a polished, professional look.
6. Adhere leaves to the gathered Burlap Ribbon with hot glue gun.
7. Cut "thankful" thinlit with Big Shot from Crushed Curry.  Attach to leaves with a "stretched" Glue Dot.  Take a Glue Dot and stretch it to make it long and thin.
   
8. Enjoy your beautiful Thanksgiving Centerpiece or present it as a gift!

Let's start the week off with some Stampin' Up! Christmas Card ideas!  One of my local stamp clubs create and swap cards each month and this month's theme is Christmas!

Let's take a look...

 

Penny created a beautiful card in non-traditional Christmas colors using the retired Snow Swirled from Stampin' Up!  I've known Penny for many years through her giving countless hours of her time in the Parent Teacher Association and we worked together in our local school district.
School colors?  Purple and white!

 

 

This precious card was created by Beverly using Happy Hour (wood, clear) from the Stampin' Up Annual Catalog.  The detail on this card is amazing!  Look at that tiny candy cane!  Each red stripe is glittered!

 

Beverly is relatively new to our Stamp Club but is by no means new to the paper crafting world. Previously, she owned a local scrapbooking store and is a scrapbooking queen! Beverly loves to travel and we look forward to hearing of those adventures each month.

 

 

This landscape Christmas card is so elegant in black and white.  The red border really makes the image pop. This beautiful main image and sentiment from this retired set from Stampin' Up! is embossed.  Love it!

Debbie is a long time friend (from high school!) and a long time stamp club member.  She has a passion for stamping and paper crafting and loves sharing her creations with others.  Debbie is the coordinator of our stamp club swap.  We appreciate her!

Latricia used the darling Santa image from Best of Christmas stamp set (134384).  I love it in the scallop punch as the focal point of her card.

About six years ago, Latricia called me after conducting  a search for a local demo through Stampin' Up!  As it turns out, her home is a few blocks away from mine! Latricia has been a member of stamp club ever since. She is full of fun with a vivacious personality...love her!

Alicia is another stamper who called after searching the internet for a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  Alicia's talent for watercolor and passion for mixed media is evident in her creation.  Love her use of Gorgeous Grunge (wood, clear). The texture and dimension on this card is amazing!

 Alicia is a former member of my downline and has a passion for crafting.  She is pure sweetness and loves sharing her ideas and techniques with us. She is a dear friend.
