The busy-ness continues at our home.  Stampin' Up! demonstrator duties come second when it comes to doing for my family, of course!

The hubs has been under the weather and I've been extra careful to keep everything sanitized.  Although he does not have the flu, we're treating his illness with caution.  People have been getting really sick in our neck of the woods.  You all need to take care and get immunized and/or avoid being around those who are not well.  And, keep the hand sanitizer within reach!

On a lighter note, my parents celebrated their 59th Wedding Anniversary today!  Such a blessing!

Here they are on Christmas Eve...

Don't they look great?  My dad will be 84 next month and my mom, 82 in March.  They are a wonderful role model for us and we know we are so fortunate to have them!

I have some deadlines due for swaps for Stampin' Up! Leadership in a couple of weeks so my crafting has been devoted to those assignments.

Trio of Trees with Handmade Ornaments

Enjoying some crafting, decorating, and fun in this final week before Christmas.

There were a few more decorating tasks that needed completing.  One was to decorate these little trees (seen above) with hand crafted ornaments seen HERE.  The medallions were perfect for these trees...love the look!

My daughter and I made these wreaths in October at the W.O.W. School.  I found the perfect place for mine.

And, I was so excited to see my Christmas cactus blooming!  This might not seem like a big deal to you, but for me...when I say that I have a "green thumb", I'm talking about ink on my fingers!

Another highlight was visiting Silver Dollar City in Branson MO. It's beautiful, magical, and so much fun at Christmas!

Stampin' Up! Festive Flurry Thank You Cards

Need an idea for a Christmas Thank You card? These little note cards were made using the Festive Flurry Bundle(wood, clear) and the Christmas Messages (wood, clear) set from the Holiday catalog from Stampin' Up!

The base for these cards were left overs from a local Stamp Club project.  Measuring at 3" x 8 1/2", this size was perfect for thank yous sent through the mail.  With the smaller card front size, the flurries and Deco Labels sentiments were able to extend a bit past the edge and still fit nicely into one of the Stampin' Up! Medium White Envelopes.  

The Festive Flurries set is going to be fun to use throughout the winter.  The beautiful snowflake images and coordinating framelits are definitely a favorite of mine from the Holiday catalog.  Save 15% purchasing these products in a bundle...Festive Flurry Bundle(wood, clear).

This scrunched ribbon bow adds the finishing touch here.

The cross adds special meaning to the ornament used as the tree topper.

Strategic cutting and placement of this large Festive Flurry snowflake adds a royal look to this, my favorite!

This Stampin' Up! demonstrator and her husband continue Christmas preparations in the Brown home.  We have a lot of plans this next week before Christmas so we're working hard to be prepared for when our daughters and their husbands arrive on Christmas Eve.

First, you may remember the wreaths from this post that I was making for our church Christmas Party.  I finished those plus one for our kitchen door that looks just like this one...

I made this Christmas Countdown board Y-E-A-R-S ago and the girl always enjoyed changing the count each day.  Well, I'm a creature of habit so this still hangs in our kitchen every Christmas season and this momma continues the tradition.

Yep...you're right!  I'm mixing cornbread. 

Our family likes cornbread dressing at Christmas, too, so I make it about a week or so ahead of time...as odd as that sounds, it's wonderful!  Everything's cooked, it's all mixed and in the casserole dishes, and will be thawed in the refrigerator a couple of days before Christmas.  Slow heat in the oven on Christmas morning and it will be yummy! It's wonderful to have it ready to go ahead of time!

Our Christmas tree is decorated and although there aren't any gifts in the photo, those are all wrapped and tucked beneath those evergreen boughs. And, it smells wonderful!

My husband is a fun loving, great guy!  He is always surprising me with his goofy antics!  There is never a dull moment.
He surprised me yesterday with this get up and a funny festive dance...love that man!
