Stampin' Up! New Sneak Peek Card

Today I have a peek of new products that will be debuting in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog on January 3, 2014.  If you're loving the gold we've used for Christmas, you'll flip for some of the new goodies in this catalog...Celebrating the Everyday!

Gold sequin, gold accented vellum, and gold accented washi tape are a few items that I am enjoying now from my demonstrator pre-order.  The image and the "pssst.." sentiment are from the new set, Happy Watercolor. 

Notice the Gold Foil in the card above from the Holiday Catalog?  Yes, we get more as it's available also in the new catalog.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Card-Guest Designer, Lynn C.

Isn't this a beautiful Christmas card?
Today's Guest Designer, Lynn C., sent me this lovely version of the dryer sheet technique.  Lynn is a member of my Inkspiration Classroom Online Club.  Love her gorgeous work!

Here are a few tips in getting the look:

• You'll want to start with a used dryer sheet...save those babies!
• Used sheets are wrinkled so give them a press with your iron on a low setting.
• Cut your dryer sheet with your paper trimmer to match the size of your image piece.
• Use Spray Craft Adhesive a craft store (or Wal-Mart) and spray one side.
• Place the sticky side down over your image and smooth with hands as needed.
• Sprinkle Dazzling Diamond over your piece with the dryer sheet and tap off excess.
• Mount your sparking image on your card base and embellish as desired.

Stampin' Up! Lovely As A Tree Christmas Card

Happy Christmas Card Day!  On this date in 1843, the world's first Christmas card was ordered to be produced by Sir Henry Cole, the first Director of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

From the Bath Chronicle:

He commissioned John Calcott Horsley to design two cards, a coloured example that cost people sixpence, and an uncoloured version for fivepence.

The uncoloured one, depicting a Victorian family eating and drinking, was sent to a lady called Marinda Cundy, and has been passed down through the family since that Christmas 170 years ago.

In honor of this special day and card makers everywhere, here's a Stampin' Up! video tutorial of a Christmas Card idea using Lovely As A Tree (wood, clear.)

DIY Holiday Home Decor -
Stampin' Up! Designer Paper Wreaths

You've probably seen many of these DIY Home Decor Holiday Wreaths created with Stampin' Up! Designer Paper but I've added to mine to give a little of the ink and inspirations touch. ;)

The mini garland banners add a touch of bling and a festive look.  The Winter Frost Wreath (above) has a mini banner made with the Festive Flurry Bundle (wood, clear), Frosted Finishes Embellishments, and a retired Stampin' Up! snowman stamp on loan from a local customer.

Stampin' Up! Season of Style Christmas Wreath

This Season of Style Wreath has a mini garland created with the Festive Flurry Bundle, Santa's List (wood,clear) image, Frosted Finishes Embellishments, and the large Scallop Circle Punch.

Four of these were created as door prizes for our church Christmas Party later this month.  I think I'll do one more to hang on our door!
