Makeover Monday- Stampin' Up! A Little Something Tiny Bag and Video Tutorial

Stampin-up-a-little-something-tiny-bagToday's Makeover Monday is a tiny bag created with the A Little Something stamp set and the English Garden Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

It's the size to hold some chocolate or a non-caloric pair of earrings!   I've always found that treasures of all kinds are held in tiny boxes and I'm sure you can think of a treasure for someone special.  Let's make the box, shall we?  (Don't see it here? Hop over to You Tube!)

Isn't that the cutest ever???

Here are the Stampin' Up! supplies used for today's makeover:

Baby Shower and Stampin' Up! Favor Ideas

Today I'm sharing photos from our daughter's baby shower last weekend which include some decor and shower favors created with the help of Stampin' Up! supplies!

InvitationHere's a "rough" photo of the outside of the shower invitations created with the Something for Baby Bundle (wood-136790,clear-136791), the Elegant Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder(138287) along with the nursery theme colors: Blushing Bride, Smoky Slate, and Metallic Gold.  The shower information insert was created by a local digital designer.  I printed four to a page from my home computer and secured inside the card with Tombow Liquid Glue.

Sign inHere's the sign in table with favors, photos, and a precious diaper cake made by my sister-in-law, Cathy.  My daughter wanted 12 x 12 pages for the guests to sign so she chose a dotted print from the 12 x 12 Subtles stack in Blushing Bride and a layered a piece of 12 x 12 vellum over top for guests to sign.  I ordered the 12 x 12 vellum from Amazon as well as Vellum pens to eliminate smearing.
These pages will fit nicely in our 12 x 12 page protectors (135296) and slip into her Project Life by Stampin' Up!  Striped album (138441) among her other pages that will be completed using the Hello Baby Girl Card Collection (138504) and Hello Baby Accessory Pack (138458).

BannerHere's the banner with the baby's name that was accented with two torn fabric strip banners as the backing.

ClotheslineSuper cute clothesline with baby clothes including some with monograms and the baby's name from sis -in-law, Cathy.

TablesA few guest tables backed some rows of chairs for seating.  Niece, Cari, was the shower stylist.  Each table held a simple floral arrangement with hand painted framed scripture verses that she presented as gifts to the mom to be.

Punch-cakeBeautiful tiered cake by Debbie's Delights along with Almond Punch, cookies, fresh fruit, and sandwiches provided refreshment for the guests.

CookiesPrecious cookies baked and decorated by Heather Abshire, friend and former Stamp Club member.  Notice the hand painted gold detail on the carriages!

FavorThese favor boxes contained a Yankee Candle tealight wrapped in one of our  4 x 6 cellophane bags (102757).  Also used were Stampin' Up! Tiny Treat Boxes (135829), Bow Builder Punch (137414), Large Oval Punch (119855), Decorative Label Punch(120907), and the Washi Label Punch (138296). The verse was found on Etsy.

SistersNow for proud momma moments!  Here are our two girls...the mommy to be and the best big sister ever!

K-lSo blessed with these two as daughters!

QuiltHer mother- in-law made all the bedding for the nursery!  Isn't this quilt beautiful!?

Thank you for allowing me to share in our baby shower joy and let me know if you have questions or inquiries about the Stampin' Up! product for shower favors, banners, or the invitations.  See you again soon!

Makeover Monday- Stampin' Up! A Little Something Goes Wild Card Idea

Stampin-up-a-little-something-card-makeover-mondayWell hello and happy start of the week as we kick it off with a wild Makeover Monday featuring A Little Something stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog and the Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack from the Annual Catalog.

The original card, SEEN HERE, uses lots of product that has been retired or discontinued so this version is a complete overhaul.  You can create a card in half the time if you'll start with another card for inspiration then just switch your stamps, inks, paper, and embellishments for a beautiful new creation.

Let's take a look at the video from the original card below or you can find it HERE on You Tube.

inklings:

  • Use Basic Black card stock for your "chalkboard" and Whisper White Craft Ink for your chalk look.
  • The same dimensions were used for the cut pieces.  To add a little accent to the border of the stamped piece, a line was scored 1/4" from each side.
  • Metallic Sequin Assortment and Whisper White Baker's Twine pose as accents.
  • The combination of prints and patterns from the Go Wild Designer Paper Stack provide a complimentary backdrop to the simple stamped image.

Stampin-up-a-little-something-card-idea-makeover-mondayDo you "make over" your projects to save time?  I'd love to hear from you in the comment section below.
