Makeover Monday- 2016 Valentine with Stampin' Up! Bear Hugs

Stampin-up-bear-hugs-valentine-makeoverWelcome to a new edition of Makeover Monday with this 2016 Valentine Treat featuring the cutest set ever, Bear Hugs, from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog.

My goal each Monday is to take a previously recorded project and video tutorial and create a makeover with current Stampin' Up! products.  I have to say that I absolutely love taking on this challenge and turning a blast from the past into something fresh and new!

I do have to admit that on this week's project, those claws on this cute little bear look a little scary after seeing The Revanant with Leonardo Di Caprio this past weekend.  If you've seen it, you know what I mean!

This set is adorable, claws and all, and it will see plenty of ink in this craft room.  My grandmother name is "Honey" and the Hubs is "Papa"!

Let's take a look at the original product idea below.  If you prefer, you may find it HERE on You Tube.

 inklings:

  • Base is cut 8 1/2 x 3 and scored at 1 1/2 and 5 1/2.  Cut slits for ribbon in each fold.
  • DSP front on makeover is cut 3 x 3.
  • Ribbon approx. 15 - 18 inches.
  • Flower bunch stamp colored with markers before stamping then used blender pen to spread the color a bit.
  • Stamp the bear on the back of the card stock after cutting.

Here's the supply list for the makeover.
If you'd like to shop, please use current host code: NACJEZBW If your order totals $150 or more before shipping and tax, please do not use the host code.
