Happy Birthday, Shannon West! #imbringingbirthdaysback

#imbringingbirthdaysbackHappy Birthday to Shannon West from the Stampin' Up! home office who is an awesome person, paper crafter, and the creator and motivator of the #imbringingbirthdaysback movement.

Earlier this year, Shannon started a movement where she was literally bringing-birthdays-back by sending birthday cards to anyone who would send their name and birthday to her on Facebook.  She felt even with all the wonderful birthday greetings that everyone sent and received through their Facebook page; those sentiments could never take the place of receiving a birthday card in the mail!

She also hand-carved a stamp with #imbringingbirthdaysback to stamp on all of the birthday cards she mailed. To help with the movement, Stampin' Up! re-created her stamp into a wood mount stamp and it is available for order HERE so that you can join in the movement as well!

Many of Shannon's friends and those to whom she's sent cards have showered her with birthday greetings for her birthday!  Here's a shot from a video she shared on Facebook with her cards and packages she will be enjoying today.

Stampin-up-bravo-bloomin-love-card-ideaToday's card and video tutorial is colorful, fun, and "happy" with the Stampin' Up! Bravo and Bloomin' Love sets and some bold colors.

An angled cut on the card front adds unique point of interest and a variation from a traditional card front.
