A Tisket, A Tasket, Make This Little Easter Basket
March 30, 2017
Are you ready to make a cute little basket for Easter or spring time treats? This darling style is one of my favorite box/basket projects. It is actually a version of a berry basket that can be used for treats or gifts any time of year. Take a look at this fall themed version HERE.
Holding it all together are little pieces of ribbon or twine at each corner with a paper strip filler to keep your treats or gift tucked securely inside.
Let's take a look at the assembly in today's video tutorial.
See the shopping list for this project below then read on for some details to help you with assembly.
Product List
Lisa's Inklings:
- For the basket, start with a 6 1/2" square of card stock.
- Score at 2" on all four sides.
- Cut 4 pieces of designer paper at 2 1/4" x 1 3/4".
- Glue designer paper on to each side of basket before punching holes and assembly.
I really hope you'll give this project a try! Let me know who'll receive this a little gift from you in the comment section below. Once you've made this little basket for Easter treats, make a template to keep on hand for other occasions throughout the year!
Tuesday Tip- Rubber Stamping 101: Lining Up Those Photopolymer Stamps
March 28, 2017
Photopolymer Stamps from Stampin' Up! are great to work with and today I have a tip for helping to line these up on your clear blocks.
Photopolymer stamps are completely clear and help to give you the perfect placement when stamping. Whenever this option is available, I prefer the photopolymer over our clear mount or wood mount which are both made from red rubber. While these are exceptional stamps, I just prefer the photopolymer for the ease of placement. Every stamper has their own preference and the photopolymer stamps are my first choice when making my purchases.
Take a look at the video tutorial below for today's Rubber Stamping 101 tip for lining up your stamps.
Here are some clear blocks and supplies such as seen in the video:

The Case of the Missing Stamps
March 17, 2017
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
It's early Friday morning and very quiet even though the family's all here. My husband is "under the weather", poor dear, but everyone else is doing fine and looking forward to spending a few days together.
It's early Friday morning and very quiet even though the family's all here. My husband is "under the weather", poor dear, but everyone else is doing fine and looking forward to spending a few days together.
Most of you know that we spend a lot of time here at our cabin in the Ozarks. Moving many of my crafting (and, sewing) supplies back and forth between here and Texas is what takes up most of the space in our vehicle when we travel, as you can imagine. Well, day before yesterday while setting up my studio, I realized the box with all of my Occasions Catalog stamp sets was not to be found. My husband assured me that he had unpacked all my bags and placed those in my studio,
Oh my goodness!
I hoped they were 540 miles away back in Texas. So I called my sweet mom and dad and they went over to my house to search for the missing stamps which were nowhere to be found. I was just a little frazzled.
I hoped they were 540 miles away back in Texas. So I called my sweet mom and dad and they went over to my house to search for the missing stamps which were nowhere to be found. I was just a little frazzled.
I had planned to do a Facebook LIVE broadcast on Ink and Inspirations Stampers Group and Ink and Inspirations with Lisa Brown that night. But, for the projects planned, I needed---you guessed it---the stamps that were in that box.
So, I had to think fast and design a project with the stamps that I DID have in my studio and the card in the video below was created. I recorded a shorter version for you but you can catch the original recording of the LIVE version HERE.
After that LIVE video, my husband asked if I had "found" the box.
"No...{sigh}..., and it's not in Texas either."
"What did the box look like"?
I described the box and he said he had not unpacked anything like that. (Oh my...)
"Let's go look again...I'll check the boxes with my things".
As a stamper and paper crafter, you have to understand the relief! Lots of fun (and, investment) tucked in that one little box.
In the whole scheme of things, this was not a problem...I realize that. And, it reinforces the fact that no matter what life throws at you, there's a way through it. We just need believe and trust.
Have you ever misplaced or "lost" some of your crafting supplies? Share your story with us in the comment section below!
There are still a couple of more weeks of Sale-A-Bration where you can earn some fun products for free with a qualifying purchase.

March 14, 2017

Stamping sponges are simple, low tech tools that can produce dramatic results in your cardmaking and paper crafts. Pair these with our Stampin' Up inks and you can create beautiful works of art. Whether sponging edges of a die cut, card stock layer, or card base, you'll add a touch of unexpected color.

Tuesday Tip- Rubber Stamping 101: Marvelous Markers
March 07, 2017
There are many marvelous ways to use Stampin' Up! Markers in rubber stamping in card making and today I'll share a few. There is a Stampin' Write Marker for each of the colors in the main Color Collections( except Whisper White and Very Vanilla) as well as one for each In Color. It's a great way to have all of our wonderful colors at your fingertips.
Each marker comes dual tipped...a brush tip and a fine point tip. The ink lasts for a long while but you'll want to store on the sides rather than in a vertical position.
Let's take a look at today's tip video for more ideas...
Lisa's Inkings:
- Best to color with the side of the brush tip as to keep the it in tip top shape.
- See another time saving tip for using markers HERE.
- Our Stampin' Write Markers and our Classic Stampin' Pad colors are the same! Coordination of products makes crafting a breeze!
If you'd like to have all of the markers, just click the links below to shop!
