It's a Magical kind of Day with this cute card and a Stampin' Blends tip. Oh my goodness!  I love this set!  Did you see the little knight on the card that was featured on Monday? These images are a lot of fun to color with Stampin' Blends, beautiful alcohol markers.  The supply on these is getting low so be sure you order yours soon!  The Pink Pirouette and Pool Party blends are not available but most of the others were still available as of this writing.

For today's technique tip, we will be using the Color Lifter to add some definition to the image.  The Color Lifter actually lifts the color off the paper.  I think it is so cool!  I'm by no means an expert in coloring with the Blends but I just have fun with it and encourage you to do so, too!  The best way to "learn" is to just play around with these markers.  You will be surprised how easy it is!

Today's project is a fun birthday card with the Magical Day stamp set from the Occasions Catalog. 

I love this set and the coordinating framelits and designer paper.  These products make a fun card for kids of all ages.   Last week, I made this box with a darling mermaid from the set.

The rich colors from the designer paper inspired the coloring of the knight with my Stampin' Blends.  I think I could color with those beauties all day long...so very relaxing.

This card is a makeover of the one seen in the video below.  I switched things up a bit since I needed to add a sentiment.  Rather than add another die cut or punched element, I decided to white emboss the sentiment directly on the card base.  It just pops on that Dapper Denim base, doesn't it?

Today's project is this adorable gable box with the Magical Day mermaid.   Isn't is cute?

This Magical Day set bundled with the Magical Mates Framelits (clear mount-145985) is perfect for the young and young at heart!...That's all of us, right?

I decided that the Silver Mini Gable Box (145568) needed to be flipped to the "white" side for this project.  You will see how easy that is to do in today's video.  The beautiful water themed background is from the Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper (145600).  This paper is the perfect companion for this group of products.  There are dragons, mermaids, and more that can be "fussy cut" from the paper to use on cards, boxes, banners...whatever you desire to craft!

• There is just one piece that you have to loosen to flip the box to the white side.
• It's easier to decorate/embellish your box before adhering it back together.

Last week, on my Facebook Live broadcast, I shared a card with a fun tip with the new Basket Weave Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  This embossing folder is included in a beautiful bundle with stamp set seen above, Blossoming Basket.  It is one of the new Sale-A-Bration choices that you can earn for FREE!

In today's video tutorial, we will actually use the embossing folder as a stamp.  This technique is easy and actually gives the impression more dimension.  Use the folder without ink on any color card stock and it is just as rich and beautiful.

• The Basket Weave embossing folder is a Dynamic folder which means it is thicker that other embossing folders from Stampin' Up!
• Apply ink to the inside of the folder that has the Stampin' Up! brand on the outside.
• Just lightly tap the ink pad to the inside of the folder on the ONE side.
• To run these Dynamic folders through your Big Shot, you will need a platform with no extra platform layers, a cutting plate, and your folder with card stock inside.  That's it! No cutting plate on top!

Today's makeover project is a sweet handmade card for a friend using A Good Day stamp set. 

The little images and sentiments in this set are darling.  Perfect for spring, this little bunny was the inspiration and starting point for this card.  When thinking about the layout, this one from the past came to mind.  I love this layering of card stock and designer papers.  It's fun and unexpected. And, even better, there are no rules!!

If you compare the two cards, you can see that I added and extra layer of Silver Foil behind the bunny.  It needed some silver to tie in the designer paper background from the Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Paper.

• The bunny is colored with ink pads and Blender Pens. I just pressed the top of the closed lid and when opened, you'll see a little spot of ink on the lid. 
• Pick up some of that ink with your Blender Pen and color your image.  
• Brush Clear Wink of Stella over colored areas of bunny for a bit of sparkle.
• Fast Fuse is on back side of  the Silver Foil to secure the Baker's Twine.

Today is Mardi Gras!

Mardi Gras colors are beautiful! Purple (Elegant Eggplant) represents justice, green (Old Olive) represents faith and gold (Daffodil Delight) represents power.

Mardi Gras is French for Fat Tuesday which is the day before Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. You can see other Mardi Gras projects that I've created here with this treat and here with this decorative banner which is hanging on my back door.

Below is our grandbaby, Mia, as she was all decked out in her Mardi Gras attire for the parades this past weekend!
