Closing out the week is a beautiful, sweet thank you card made with the Peaceful Reflections stamp set along with two other sets for the sentiment and highlights. Special thanks Stars team member, Catherine Stewart, for this creation!

Directions:

Cut Pacific Point cs at 5.5 x 8.5 score at 4.25.
Cut first layer in Sahara Sand at 4 x 5.25.
Cut second layer in Whisper White at 3.75 x 5.
Stamp your water ripple images first in Pacific Point.
Stamp your lily pads in Garden Green.
Stamp another lily pad on separate cs and cut out and pop up with
dimensional and add a Clear Faceted Gem.
Ink edges of the Whisper White with Pacific Point and lightly over the card
front to get a more water effect.
Use a sponge to do the same over the card front with Pool Party ink.
Use the small flower center from Beautiful Bouquet to stamp
in center of the lily pads and use a little of the Daffodil Delight as well
for centers.
Cut a piece of Whisper White cs at 2.25 x 1 and stamp sentiment from
Dragonfly Dreams in Memento Black ink
and take the little flower center from the Beautiful Bouquet set
and stamp in Daffodil Delight on the sentiment.
Cut a piece of Whisper White at 4 x 5.25 for the inside of card
Stamp the little pad in Garden Green in the right-hand corner
and stamp in Pacific Point the water ripples.
Stamp the left-hand side of the Whisper White envelope
with the lily pad in Garden Green and the ripple in Pacific Point.

Colorful Handmade Card for a Friend

July 26, 2018

This colorful handmade card for a friend combines the Peaceful Reflections stamp set and Eastern Medallions Thinlits! What a beautiful combination and card created by Stars team member, Catherine Stewart.

Directions:

Cut Whisper White cs at 11 x 4.25 score at 5.5.
Cut Daffodil Delight at 5.25 x 4 adhere to base.
Cut Whisper White at 5 x 3.75.
Stamp the flower image in Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight all over randomly
then use the top layer and stamp lightly in the coordinating colors.
Stamp the falling petals in Garden Green randomly all over then adhere that
to the Daffodil Delight.
Cut Melon Mambo strip at 5 x 1 and glue to the Whisper White stamped piece.
get the right shapes from the Eastern Medallions Thinlits set
and cut them out as shown on card then stamp your sentiment on the Whisper white.
Adhere to the Melon Mambo piece, then pop up with dimensionals
on the yellow cut out piece and glue down to the card.
Stamp in Melon Mambo the flower down the lower right side of the card,
use Garden Green for the falling petals.
Stamp the flower in Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo on the front left corner
on envelope and the little petals in Garden Green.

Handmade Wedding Card with Peaceful Reflections

Love the color combo on this Peaceful Reflections Wedding Card! Beautiful work from Stars Team member, Catherine Stewart.

Directions:

Cut card base at 4.25 x 11 Emboss the front of the base.
Cut a 1.5 x 4.25 in pool party adhere with glue.
Cut a piece of Sahara Sand at 3.5 x 3.75, use dimensionals
to pop up on top of the Pool Party piece.
Use the 3 x 3 scallop square die cut out in Lemon Lime Twist glue
on top of the Sahara Sand piece.
Cut out using the 2.75 x 2.75 scallop square in Whisper White
Stamp the flower stalk in Lemon Lime Twist then color
the overlay lightly in Garden Green.
Stamp the flower in Pool Party and outline in Crumb Cake Marker.
Stamp the dragonfly in Berry Burst then adhere to Lemon Lime Twist piece.
Cut your inside Whisper White piece at 4 x 5.25
Use the sentiment out of the Beautiful Bouquet stamp in Memento black ink,
then stamp the dragonfly in Berry Burst close to sentiment.
Stamp the dragonfly on the front left side of Whisper White envelope
in Berry Burst ink.

Love This Thank You Card!

Isn't this an adorable thank you card made with the Peaceful Reflections stamp set? Love this little hummingbird made with the images from this set! Special thanks to Stars team member, Catherine Stewart, for this creative card idea!

Directions:

Cut card base at 4.25 x 11 in Thick Whisper White score at 5.5.
Cut Bermuda Bay cs at 4 x 5.25, then pop up on the card base
with dimensionals.
Cut Whisper White cs at 3.75 x 5 stamp the ripples and dots in Pool Party ink
Stamp in memento black the leaf stem at a angle to make look like a humming bird.
Then stamp in Bermuda Bay the flower petals without the stem right
above making it look like wings.
Then take the stamp that looks like a water splash and stamp
a little darker over the flower to make look like it has dimension.
Punch out a 1.25 circle in Daffodil Delight and add it to make look like a sun.
Follow steps 4-6 on a separate piece of Whisper White
and cut out and pop up over the sun.
Stamp sentiment from Beautiful Bouquet in Memento Black ink.
For inside stamp all the images again to make the hummingbird
and stamp the ripple of water on the right.
For the envelope stamp on the images to make hummingbird on left hand side.

Our Journey Begins!

Today we begin our journey to a travel destination that was on both of our bucket lists...Alaska!

Stampin' Up! Card with Rooted in Nature

Today's Stampin' Up! card idea features the beautiful Rooted in Nature stamp set and coordinating Nature's Roots Framelits. This card was featured in one of my emails last month.

The Nature’s Poem Suite has beautiful images and colors that are suitable for anyone and any occasion. Here’s one with an uplifting message to send to someone “just because”.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Score large piece of Mint Macaron at 5 1/2”, fold in half, and burnish with Bone Folder.
2. Glue largest piece of DSP on front of card base then glue the smaller Mint Macaron piece at an angle as shown.
3. Place 4” x 5” of Whisper White on Stamparatus and hold in place with one of the magnets. Position large tree stamp in center of the cardstock, rubber side down. Pick up the stamp with one of the hinged plates.
4. Apply Mint Macaron ink to stamp. Press down the plate with stamp and press on top of the plate to transfer to cardstock.
5. Leave stamp in place and clean off Mint Macaron Ink with wet Simply Shammy.
6. Use Sponge Dauber to apply Tranquil Tide ink to tree. How much is up to you but you want some of the Mint Macaron ink showing through.
7. Adhere tree with Dimensionals to the smaller piece of DSP. Leave room on the bottom for twine and sentiment.
8. Choose two colors of twine to complement your card. Wrap around this piece of designer paper and tie with a bow.
9. Attach one of the Leaves Trinkets with a Glue Dot just beneath the knot of the bow.
10. Stamp sentiment in Tranquil Tide on the small piece of Whisper White cardstock, cut out each phrase, and glue to lower right corner as shown.
11. Attach this piece with the main image and sentiment to the card front with Dimensionals as shown.
12. Finish the inside of your card as desired.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Cards in July 2018 #5

Here's the fifth in the series of Christmas cards 2018 here on Ink and Inspirations. Hopefully, you have been inspired to start your holiday cards or maybe even start the planning stage. If you missed the other cards this week, you can go back to Monday's post HERE and proceed through the week to see all of the cards.

Today, we are going to switch it up and work with some fun images, a coordinating punch, and coloring with Stampin' Blends, the Stampin' Up! alcohol markers. These darling images from the Cookie Cutter Christmas set (photopolymer- 142043)are so much fun to color and the coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder Punch(140396) makes for an easy finish for this simple card.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Cards in July 2018 #4

It's time for the fourth in the series of Christmas cards 2018 here on Ink and Inspirations. I hope you have been enjoying the samples and you are inspired to get started on your holiday cards. Did you see the Christmas Pines card posted here yesterday?

Today's card features the beautiful Night in Bethlehem (wood- 144809, clear- 145282) stamp set and depending on your time, you can also include die cuts from the coordinating Bethlehem Edgelits (144676).

The designer paper is NOT from a holiday collection! Be sure to watch the video and read on to see where I found this one!
