Simple Tip for Scrapbooking Memory Keeping
August 06, 2018
Today's post and video offers a very simple scrapbooking/memory keeping/journaling tip but first, a few questions for you...
- Have you been scrapbooking/memory keeping for years? ...like "on and off" since childhood?
- Do you feel like you are always "behind"?
- Do you have stacks of photos that you need to preserve...like, put in an album?
- Or, do you have pictures in an album with no journaling, names, or dates?
- Do you have the desire or need to start memory keeping but don't know where to begin?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then you will want to keep reading.
This crafter (ME!) has been memory keeping since elementary school. Not consistently, mind you, but enough to have recorded memories from the "good ole days!" Once our girls got involved in so many activities in high school, the need to scrapbook presented itself in a big way. But, I tried to get too elaborate with my pages and burnt out very quickly.
Then comes the collaboration of Stampin' Up! with Project Life. Man, was this easier and took much less time! And, it was so much fun! But, then, that partnership ended BUT Stampin' Up! introduced their own pocket memory keeping system, Memories and More! Thank you, Stampin' Up!
If you answered "yes" to being "behind" question or you have a stack of photos tucked away in a drawer, don't let it stop you from pressing forward. Start with ONE occasion, holiday, birthday, vacation, etc. and go from there. And, if you're just wanting to get started, check out the Memories and More supplies HERE.
Oh, wait....you prefer, traditional scrapbooking? No worries. I combine both traditional and pocket pages in my memory keeping. Check out this recent page HERE.
Now, let's address the journaling/notes part of memory keeping. (And, I refer to it as "memory keeping" because scrapbooking scares some folks away.) The video below will give you a tip that has really helped me....especially when I delay in getting this part done!
Hope this scrapbooking/memory keeping tip is helpful to you so please let me know in the comments below!
Great idea Lisa, I jotted some notes down when we were in Italy. Mind you not a lot but some.
