Handmade Cards for a Gift

My niece wanted to make her Mom's Christmas gift so my husband suggested a set of handmade cards. She did an excellent job using my supplies and coming up with ideas.

A set of handmade cards always makes a nice gift!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

One of our most beautiful Christmas carols, Silent Night, was written by Franz Gruber on this day, December 24, in the year 1818.

The following video features this beloved carol and was one I made several years ago featuring some of my favorite holiday projects at the time.  These designs still inspire me today!

Enjoy!

From my family to yours...wishing you a Merry Christmas and blessings this holiday season!

DIY Hostess Gift for Christmas 2018

Christmas-2018-hostess-gift-1Let's start the week off with an easy hostess gift that you can make for Christmas 2018!

I think tea towels and/or pretty dish towels make great gifts.  I mean, I don't buy these for myself, do you?

This oversized tag takes the place of gift wrap or a gift bag plus has a fun and different look.  You can even use designer series paper instead of the stamped cardstock and it will take less time to make.

Let's take a look at the how-to video tutorial...

Here's another example of this same project idea that was made for Thanksgiving last year.  Don't you love how we can make any gift look extra-special with our paper crafting supplies?

Lisa's Inklings:

  • Basic Black cardstock is cut 3 3/4" x 5 3/4".
  • Real Red cardstock is cut 3 1/2" x 5 1/2".
  • You will need approximately 4" x 4" pieces of Crumb Cake cardstock and glimmer paper for the punched pieces.
