Happy Mardi Gras!

Happy Mardi Gras!

Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) is today and this little girl is showing off some her beads that she was given during the parades this weekend!  Everyone wanted to throw Mia some beads.  Most would simply hand a trinket or toy off of their float and say "for the baby".  She had quiet a haul over the three day period of parades of Mardi Gras Southeast Texas.

Here we are (Honey and Papa) with our little bundle of joy!

The three colors of Mardi Gras are purple which represents justice, green which represents Faith,  and gold which represents power.

If we want to translate those colors into Stampin' Up! colors this year, we would have:

Purple- Gorgeous Grape

Green - Call Me Clover

Gold - Crushed Curry

Mardi Gras is French for Fat Tuesday which is the day before Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. You can see other Mardi Gras projects that I've created here with this treat and here with this decorative banner which hung on my back door for years!

Thanks for stopping by today to take a peek at our weekend and Happy Mardi Gras!
