"Udderly" Fantastic Projects from Sunday Crafternoon Facebook Live

Our most recent Sunday Crafternoon featured projects using the Over the Moon stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.

Here's the first project!  It's a fun fold card!

Over-the-moon-fancy-foldThis fold intimidated me at first but it is so easy and such a fun surprise. Take a look at the inside of this card!

Over-the-moon-fancy-fold-2

Here are the basic details:

  • Basic Black base is cut 4-1/4" x 5 -1/2".
  • Real Red card stock was cut 4" x 5-1/4" and then textured with an embossing folder.
  • The "magic" happens with a 5" Whisper White square that is strategically scored.
  • Layers on top of the folded square are Basic Black 3"x 3" and Real Red gingham check from the Regals DSP pack.
  • Both images (cow and moon) are stamped on Whisper White and "fussy cut" with Paper Snips.
  • A 1" Circle punch is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals for a closure.

Over-the-moon-treatThe second project was this easy treat pouch with Cow Tales candy!

  • Topper is designer paper cut 3-1/4" x 3".
  • Ribbon is about 5"-6" and tied with about 10" of Linen Thread.

Here's the video... in case you missed it!

Supplies that were used to make these two projects are listed below.  (The new Corrugated 3D embossing folder is not yet available.)

Customer Spotlight: Lynn Chapman

Lynn-chapman

Today's post is a spotlight featuring one of my dear customers, Lynn Chapman.

Lynn and I have never met in person but I consider her a friend.  Lynn is a beautiful paper crafter and has shared many of her lovely cardmaking projects with me over the years. I am honored she is allowing me to share with you today.

From Lynn:

I have always loved painting and crafting of any kind.  I was hooked from the first day I started making cards in 2007. I usually spend at least one day a week in my craft room “playing” with my stamps. It is so relaxing and fun for me. I belong to a group now called “Stamping Fools”. We meet once a month and play all day. We share ideas for cards and love the Fellowship with each other. I haven’t bought a card since 2008! It is so rewarding when people say how special they feel to get one of my handmade cards. Hopefully, I will be able to continue this hobby for many years to come.

Lynn's Card

The color combinations in this card absolutely give the feel of summer.  Nothing quite like the combination of Daffodil Delight and Old Olive with a touch of white.  The flowers are printed on vellum and were part of last year's Stampin' Up! catalog.  The image is colored with our beautiful Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.  You could try to get this same effect by stamping a floral image on vellum in Jet Black Stazon ink (see link below) and coloring it with Stampin' Blends on the reverse side.  You'll have a beautiful stained glass effect. The sweet sentiment is from the Enjoy Life stamp set.

Here are some of the current Stampin' Up! supplies that Lynn used on this project.  You can find them in the Online Store by clicking the links below.
