12 Weeks of 2019 Stampin' Up! Halloween Projects - Week 9

Triangle-fold-box-for-halloweenWe are on the home stretch with our 12 Weeks of Halloween and this week we will be making this little triangle fold box.

The little "creatures" in the Boo To You Cling Stamp Set [150550] are just cute enough not to be scary.  This treat strays from the traditional Halloween colors.  Just color the little creature to match your paper.

Lisa's Inklings:

  • Cut paper to 3" x 6". Score at 3".
  • Put a little mark at 1-1/2" on each short side.
  • Make a diagonal score from this mark to the 3" score on both sides as shown in the video.

A Birthday Card with Die Cuts and Watercolor

Today's project is another cardmaking idea from World Card Making Die with pretty die cuts and a watercolor technique.

This Well Written die cuts are the perfect size for the front of a card.  It's also in a beautiful hand written font that is very easy to read. 

The die cut stems are from watercolor paper that come to life with a watercolor wash technique.  Here is the edited video tutorial from Facebook that was recorded on World Card Making Day.

 

Lisa's Inklings:

  • Base is Mossy Meadow cut at 4-1/4" x 11" and 1/2" x 11".
  • The designer paper from Perennial Essence was cut at 4" x 5-1/4" and cut in half diagonally.
  • So Saffron card stock is cut at 4" x 5-1/4".
  • I used a full sheet of Watercolor Paper for the watercolor wash.
  • Very Vanilla for the inside of the card is cut to 4" x 5-1/4".

Make a Pick-Up Card for A Friend

This week, I'll be sharing cards from my World Card Making Day series on Facebook this last Saturday and this pick up card for a friend was one of those cards.

The Ride with Me set features this trendy pick up and I thought I'd try it with the pumpkins in the bed.  Isn't it cute?  Love that Granny Apple Green!

Here's the edited video tutorial with the how-to for this card.

 

Lisa's Inklings:

  • The card base is cut at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2".  Cut 2" off one end after scoring.
  • The gingham paper is cut at 1-3/4" x 4" and 3-1/4" x 4".
  • You'll need two pieces of Whisper White cut at 3" x 4"  and some scrap for punching.
  • Cut two strips of Pumpkin Pie card stock at 1/2" x 4" and you'll need a scrap piece for punching.

Cardmaking 101: Simple Stamping with Rustic Retreat

If you are just getting started in cardmaking or enjoy simple stamping with minimal supplies, this cardmaking project will appeal to just about everyone who enjoys the craft.

Using stamps, ink, and paper you can create beautiful cards.  Those of us who have a few (ahem!) items to use when cardmaking may sometimes find it a challenge to use minimal supplies.  But, as you'll see with this card,  it's easy and fun and enables all of us to make the most of even a few minutes of crafting time.

  • Card base is cut 5-1/2" x 8-1/2".
  • Very Vanilla for the outside is cut 1-1/2" x 5-1/4".  For the inside, cut to 4" x 5-1/4".
  • Soft Suede strip is cut 1/2" x 5-1/4".
  • Designer paper is cut to 2-1/2" x 5-1/4".

Cut designer paper 5" x 5".
Basic Black: 2" x 3" to die cut frame and 2" x 6" to slice in thin strips for filler.
Pumpkin Pie Card Stock: You'll need about 2" x 3" for to die cut the piece for "eat drink and be scary".
Ribbon not necessary to hold the wrap together, it just makes it that much cuter!
