Stampin' Up! DIY Home Decor Wreath from Lisa Brown, Ink and Inspirations

Today's DIY project is one that's been in my thoughts since the new Stampin' Up! annual catalog was in my hands. It's always so much fun to think of how many different ways we can use our beautiful Stampin' Up! supplies.

With the hope of making this wreath light weight and to use in my studio or on the door, these metal gold hoops from Amazon were just right!
You will also need a hot glue gun.

Let's take a look at the simple how-to video tutorial.

Lisa's Inklings:

Any combination of color and these dies would be beautiful.
I recommend just using a little dab of hot glue for each piece.
If you plan to suspend this ring in the center of a space rather than against the wall, just add some die cut leafy stems and a sunflower to the back!

2020 Stampin' Up! Halloween Projects Week 3

2020 Stampin' Up! Halloween Projects Week 3 from Lisa Brown, Ink and Inspirations.

It's time to share the third in a series of 2020 Stampin' Up! Halloween Projects. For this project, we have an easy treat wrap with the Banner Year Bundle (English) [155214]

This idea is good if you need or want to make multiples for a class or to hand out to neighbors, friends, or trick or treaters! You can get four of these treat wraps from one sheet of Basic Black 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [121045].

Here's the how-to video tutorial for this Halloween treat wrap.

Lisa's Inklings:

Basic Black 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [121045] is cut 2-3/4 x 8-1/2. Score at 3-1/2, 4, and 7-1/2.
Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper [153517] is cut 2-3/4 x 2-1/2.
Smoky Slate 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [131202] is cut 2-1/8 x 1, 2-1/4 x 1, and a scrap strip about 4" long.
Black Glitter Paper [153518] is about 2 x 2.

Make a 2020 Stampin' Up! Halloween Project Week 2 from Lisa Brown, Ink and Inspirations, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

Whisper White Thick Cardstock [140272]is cut 4-1/8 x 7 and scored at 2-3/8, 3-1/4, 5-5/8, 6-1/2. Turn and score on the short side at 7/8.
Basic Black Cardstock [121045] is cut 2-1/8 x 3-1/8 ( 2 pieces) and 3/4 x 3-1/8 ( 2 pieces).
Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper [153517]is cut 2 x 3 (2 pieces) and 5/8 x 3 (2 pieces)
Cut 1/4 strips of Cajun Craze Cardstock [119684] for filler.

Stampin' Up! Cards for Kids- Glimmer Zebra

Today's card is a fun one for littles using the Zany Zebras Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

This set is so much fun and the colorful vibe of the Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper makes it a great addition to cards for kids. Plus, that little touch of shimmer adds a little bit of fun!

Here's the how-to video tutorial for today's card.

Lisa's Inklings:

Card Base is Melon Mambo 5-1/2 x 8-1/2.
Melon Mambo Panel- Cut 2 x 5-1/2. After using embossing folder trim down to 5-

1/4.
Whisper White layer is cut 5-3/8 x 4-1/8. Layer for inside is 4 x 5-1/4. You will need

a scrap piece of Whisper White for die- cutting scalloped square, and for stamping

and cutting or punching image and sentiment.
Artistry Blooms DSP is cut 2 x 5-1/4.
Rainbow Glimmer Paper- approx 3 x 3 for die cutting square.

Here is another version of the card in the "blues" for the little guys! It's just as fun using the same products with a different area of the Rainbow Glimmer Paper, different colors of Stampin' Blends and a different sheet of the Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper.

Throwback for Halloween-Harvest Hellos Treat Box

Today's project is a throwback for Halloween with this Harvest Hellos Treat Box from 2019.

I've been a bit under the weather so it's been a while since stepping foot in my studio and creating. The 2020 Halloween series will continue when I am back on my feet but until then, here is a project that you can re-create with current papers and colors using this same Harvest Hellos stamp set and Apple Builder Punch.

Here's the how-to to construct this little box in the YouTube video tutorial from 2019.

Mint Macaron 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [138337]
6-1/2 x 6-1/2 scored at 2" on all 4 sides.
Cajun Craze 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [119684]
Approx. 4 x 5 for stamping, punching, and cutting.
Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper [153520]
1/2 x 12 strip for top border. (Use the striped pattern.)
Soft Suede 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [115318]
Small scrap for stamping and punching stem.
Use a toothpick for the little banner sign.
Cut the top off the cello bag so that it's about 5-6" tall.

Make A Card For A Friend with Forever Fern

This card for a friend with Forever Fern has been in my files for two months! The Gold Hoops Embellishments [152474] were unavailable for so long that it was best that it stayed "hidden" for a while. This Forever Fern Bundle (English) [154094] and coordinating products are among my favorites from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. These are beautiful products and so versatile!

And, if you have not discovered the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper [152493]...oh. my. goodness! You must add this to your wish list! You can incorporate these beautiful laser cuts to many of your cardmaking projects.

Let's take a look at the how-to video for today's card.

Blushing Bride Cardstock [131198] card base is cut 4-1/4 x 11. Score at 5-1/2 and fold.
In Good Taste Designer Series Paper [152494] layer on card front is 4 x 5- 1/4.
Shimmery White Cardstock [101910] is cut 2-3/4 x 3-1/2.
You will need scrap pieces of Whisper White Cardstock [100730], Rococo Rose Cardstock [150882] and Petal Pink Cardstock [146985] for stamping and cutting/die cutting.

Diagonal Gate Fold Card

August 07, 2020

This diagonal gate fold looked a bit intimidating at first glance but it's an easy fun and fancy fold with a dramatic look. One of my team members sent a card with this fold and I knew that I had to recreate it!

That Brushed Metallic Card Stock enhanced with the Subtle Embossing Folder is striking for the card front and the Beautiful Autumn Bundle from the new Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog makes it perfect for the upcoming season.

Here's the video with the how-to! Get ready...you are going to want to create several!

Lisa's Inklings:

Mint base 4-1/4 x 7 -1/2. Score at 2-1/2 x 5 on long side.
On the two side panels, make a diagonal score from right corner down to left tip.
DSP: 2-1/4 x 4 for back triangles, diagonal cut left top to right.
Brushed Metallic in Copper: 2-1/4 x 4, diagonal cut right corner down to left.
Very Vanilla: 2-1/4 x 4 for inside and scrap for Tasteful Label die cut.
DSP to punch leaves and acorn and to die cut Tasteful Label circle.

This card would be a fun surprise for anyone! So many options with different stamps, inks, and paper.
