Yes, it's true, Stampin' Up! is saying good-bye to our paper-based Whisper White!  But, not to worry!  Here's a section of the official word from Stampin' Up!:

Whisper White has been a Stampin’ Up! staple for so long. We love it and we know you love it, too. We are sad to announce that the supplier’s mill producing our Whisper White cardstock has permanently closed due to impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic.  Unfortunately, we weren’t given much notice on this closure. This means that the technology unique to this particular supplier is now unavailable to us and we can no longer offer our Whisper White cardstock and related products, such as Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes. Please note that this won’t affect any of our other cardstocks, this only affects Whisper White.

Stampin' Up! jumped right into action to find the best replacement paper possible.  Many hours were dedicated to source and test alternative cardstock options from several suppliers to find the perfect fit that still maintains the Stampin’ Up! quality you know and trust. We are happy to share that Stampin' Up! has found a winner for our new cardstock, Basic White!

With Whisper White going out of production, this means a number of Whisper White products will be affected.  Below is a list of all products that will be replaced with our new Basic White cardstock. These items are now available while supplies last with an order limit of 2 per item per order.

Happy Christmas Card Day!  The first Christmas greeting card was created in 1843 and the history is interesting!  It's amazing how it's still a holiday tradition to this day. You can see this first card HERE.

To celebrate, let's take a look at a stack of Christmas cards that I created recently with the help of the Stamparatus [146276].

Lisa's Inklings:
Card bases are cut 5-1/2 x 8-1/2.
Designer paper for card fronts are cut 4 x 5-1/4.
Use the designer paper to determine the card stock and ink colors.
Whisper White card stock for inside of cards is cut 4 x 5-1/4.

Add coordinating embellishments such a sequins, gems, and ribbons to dress up your cards.  This paper is so beautiful, you could leave as is and would have beautiful Christmas cards.

Our Lyla's 5th  birthday was a couple of weeks ago.  While we were not there for her birthday party for friends, we were able to celebrate with her last week.  Today I am sharing her birthday banner and card that carried out the theme of her party, Frozen 2.

For her birthday banner, the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper [153512] and Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper [153513] along with the Snowflake Wishes Bundle (English) [155172] were used.  As a backing for the letters cut from retired Stampin' Up! letter dies us a Whisper White Cardstock [100730] cut from the Tasteful Labels Dies [152886]. Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems [153547] gems add a bit of sparkle and the bottom corners were punched with the Detailed Trio Punch [146320].

Here's the complete banner.  These banners are very easy to make and always make a nice addition to party decór.  Lyla's mom has her banner hung above the window seat/reading nook  in her room.

Here's a close-up of her birthday card made with the same supplies.  Again, the dies that cut the "5" are retired.  I have a set of letter and number dies that have come in handy so many times!

Here's the complete front of the card.  See how the "5" looks dimensional? I die cut it with a piece of our Foam Adhesive Sheets [152815] adhered to the back. It's like having a full sized dimensional adhesive for any shape!

It's such a joy to create projects for our granddaughters on their birthdays. Like any handmade paper craft, a lot of love goes into these projects. Hope you have enjoyed seeing some of the creations for Lyla's birthday.

Happy Friday!  It's been a few days but I am back to share this tall gift bag and video just in time for your gift packaging!

This particular bag was made for our granddaughter's birthday since she chose The Disney Frozen II Movie as the theme for her party.

Here's the video tutorial with some tips on varying the height of the bag.

Lisa's Inklings:

• Use a full sheet of designer paper; 12 x 12.
• Score 1 side at 3-1/2, 5-3/4, 9-1/4, 11-1-2
• Turn and score the other side at 3/4" -2" (depending on how tall you need your bag) and also score at 9-1/2.
• The tag is cut 2 x 4 from designer paper and the Whisper White piece is 1-1/2 x 2.
