Give kids paper and glue and they are ready to be creative so paper crafts really come naturally to them. This week, Lyla worked with me on her Valentines and wanted to do most of the work herself.
In the first picture (above), you can see her using the Paper Trimmer [152392] to slip in her cut card stock to score for the card fold.
I helped her line up the edge on the 3" mark and then she scored all of the the cards with the light gray scoring blade.
She was using the Bone Folder [102300] like a pro giving each card a good crease. There is a mini video of this in action on my Facebook page.
She glued each of the punched circles to the card fronts. The Valentines are ready except for her to sign her name on the inside of each card. These 3 x 3 cards are the perfect size for Valentines. You can even tape or glue a little treat to the inside or the back of each card.

Isn't a black and white color palette always striking? The inspiration for this color scheme for this card is from the dsp. The floral image is also cut from this designer paper.

The Hydrangea Haven stamp set from Stampin' Up! is quickly becoming a favorite! The floral images and beautiful sentiments along with coordinating products make it really special.
Here are some instructions for this card using some of these elements.
Stamp the flower outline image then stamp the solid images to color flowers and the leaves. Fussy Cut or use the dies from the Hydrangea Haven Bundle [156251].
Hydrangeas always remind me of my grandmother. She had beautiful blooms along her front porch for many years. This Hydrangea Haven stamp set will have special meaning for me.

If you are familiar with the movie, Jerry McGuire, you will recognize the sentiment on today's Stampin' Up! card with the beautiful Always in my Heart Bundle. This is a beautiful suite of products that works for cards for sweethearts, anniversary cards, and Valentine cards.
The dies in this bundle are so pretty. Here you seen the sentiment framed with a floral filigree heart.
Measurements: Card Base: Basic White Thick 4.25” x 11”, scored at 2.5”, 4”, 7”, 8.5” Cardstock #2: Blushing Bride 4 1/8” x 1 3/8” (two pieces) AND 3.5” x 3.25” Cardstock #3: Rocco Rose 3.25” x 3” Cardstock #4: Basic White 4.25” x 4.5” to stamp heart and cut die Designer Paper: (Rocco Rose) 4 1/8” x 2 3/8” (two pieces) AND 4 1/8” x 2 7/8”
Instructions:
Cut card base from Thick Whisper White CS and score per above measurements.
Fold on score lines per the example below.
Cut DSP per above measurements.
Attach the DSP and the narrow Blushing Bride pieces to the card base.
Stamp greeting in the center of white piece.
Position die around the sentiment. Hold in place with a sticky note and die cut.
Adhere two remaining CS pieces together.
Adhere to the center panel of front using dimensionals.
Use mini dimensionals behind the lacey heart and adhere to the center panel.
Center the heart in the open space and adhere flat to the card stock.
The outside lacey heart is raised up above the inside heart sentiment piece.
Add a small bow to the top left of the center panel.
Add 3 or 5 pastel pearls as desired.
Isn't this a great fold? Most of us love these fun fold cards and this one is easy to construct!
