It's Tuesday and today we have an easy DIY project with the Stampin' Up! Flowering Cactus Product Medley.  

I am always on the lookout for tea towels or dish towels that coordinate well with our stamp sets and designer papers.  The cactus-themed towel used in today's project is from Dollar Tree!  Here's one from last year with an Easter theme.

The color scheme in the Flowering Cactus Product Medley is different from the bright colors on this towel.  As you'll see in the video, it was easy to coordinate other Stampin' Up! Colors to match the towel.  Watch the video to see the process of this easy DIY gift with Stampin' Up! Flowering Cactus!

Lisa's Inklings:

• Cut coordinating cardstock layer to 2" x 5".
• Cut designer paper to match at 1-3/4 x 4-3/4.
• You will need a piece of Basic White approximately 4" x 5" to stamp and cut your image.
• For the sentiment, a 3/4" strip of Basic White was used and cut to fit.

Our Monday project is this adorable birthday card with the Stampin’ Up! Hey Birthday Chick Bundle. The Snail Mail Designer Series Paper [154577] makes for a festive background and provides a great color scheme. 

Notice the repetitive stamping for the sentiment. This is an alternative method to adding the sentiment as an element on it own. The “let’s celebrate you” is stamped tone on tone in Bermuda Bay.  ( The tone on tone technique is stamping with the ink the same color the card stock. 

Here’s the how-to...

Instructions:

Cut your Bermuda Bay card stock at 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”, score at 4 1/4”.

Cut your 2020–2022 In Color 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper [153070] 1-3/4 x 5-1/2  

Cut Snail Mail Designer Series Paper [154577] at 1 3/4” x 5 1/2”. Layer these and, glue down to card base.

Take the “let’s celebrate” you stamp and Bermuda Bay ink and stamp down the right side of card. 

Cut your circles from the Stitched Shapes dies with the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. 

Now stamp your chicken on a separate Basic White piece and color with the Light Real Red Stampin’ Blend and Light Mango Melody Stampin Blend and the Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend. You start with the real red and add just a little then blend with the mango melody and then blend mango melody with the daffodil delight to color the rest of the chicken.

Color the cupcake with the dark real red and light real red blend, then color the icing on cup cake with the blushing bride.
Color the flame on candle with real red and then blend with mango melody.

Die cut out the chicken with the coordinating die and glue down to the basic white circle, then glue to the Bermuda bay circle.

Add dimensionals and pop up on center of card.  To give it a finished look take your trim and tie a knot. Glue down with liquid glue.

With St. Patrick's Day coming up, it's a good time for an idea for this fun little treat box.

This is a simple one and a good size for some fun candy treats or even a gift card!  Going through my supplies, I found some stamp sets and dies that would be just right to wish someone "top of the day" on the 17th.

There are many shades of green in this Stampin' Up! color realm but this spruce matched my treats, Andes Mints, so that was the deciding factor. 

Here's the how-to video so that you can put one of these together quickly.

Lisa's Inklings:

• Cut the Shaded Spruce 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [146981] to 3 x 6.
• Use your Simply Scored [122334] to score on the long side at 2, 2-3/4, 4-3/4, and 5-1/2.
• Turn and score at 3/4 to form the box bottom.
• You will need some scrap pieces of Basic White 8 1/2" X 11" Cardstock [159276] and Brass Foil Sheets [153057] (depending on the style you are making.)
• The Rainbow Glimmer Paper [153056] makes a pretty four-leaf clover.  You will just need a small piece.

I think this version with the sentiment from the game on stamp set is just right for my better-half! Those hearts from the kanga dies make a cute shamrock, don't you think?

Today's projects are two handmade cards with Stampin' Up! Circle Celebration.  We made these cards on Craft & Chat Live on Facebook yesterday afternoon.

The circle elements on these stamp sets have a wide variety of patterns but for some reason, I was obsessed with this vine image that you will see on these two cards!  (Be sure that you are on my mailing list so you can see another card made with more of these circle patterns...it's my favorite that I've made so far with this set!)

The faux stitching created by the dies on both of these really adds a special touch, don't you think?

Tip: To prevent the classic ink from bleeding on the elements seen in the photo above, clear emboss the image and sentiment immediately after stamping in the classic ink.

On Wednesday's Facebook Live, the beautiful new Butterfly Brilliance Bundle was the star of the show! This stamp and die collection combo is an early release from the new Stampin' Up! catalog that will go LIVE in May.  Some of us like to call that catalog the "big" catalog!
