Color Trend in Cardmaking

Today we are taking a look at a cardmaking color trend that's floating around the world of paper crafting; using neutrals with a spot of color.

Notice that I didn't use the term "pop of color"?  With this trend, I've noticed subdued colors rather than bright or bold colors.  In Stampin' Up! terms, these would include colors from our Subtles or Neutrals Color Collections.  I've enjoyed challenging myself to follow this trend and hope you will be inspired to do so after seeing this video and these samples.

This video was a Premiere video on YouTube which is a series that I hope you will watch every Thursday evening at 6 PM Central.  These videos will vary in length from a few minutes to an hour and will remain on YouTube if you aren't able to join us for the Premiere.  However, if you are able to join at the Premiere time, you can participate in the LIVE chat if you are signed in to your Google or Gmail account.

If you missed it on YouTube, here's the video!

Hello friends!  Thank you so much for visiting me here on the Ink and Inspirations blog.  It truly makes my day to know you've checked in so that I can share what I love!

When I began this journey almost 15 years ago, little did I know how much this online community of paper crafters would mean to me.  You hear about it, sure, but I have experienced it first hand with so many who have followed, reached out, commented, or shared this little piece of my world.  I am truly grateful and I am looking forward to continuing to be part of your world.

If you will, I'd love for you to comment below and say hello!  And, be sure you have signed up HERE so I can share with you through your inbox each week to keep you informed on the latest.

May God bless you and your families. ---Lisa

Easy Cardmaking Tip for Layering

It's Thursday and I am super excited to share a cardmaking tip for layering with you!

The Color & Contour Bundle (English) [158356] was not on my "radar" when the Stampin' Up! catalog was released but the dies were irresistible which "forced" me into buying the bundle. Let me tell you... I have not regretted it one bit!  This combo is beautiful and so versatile.

Another surprise to me was this new In Color, Pale Papaya. It was my LEAST favorite when these new In Colors from Stampin' Up! were released this past spring.  Admittedly, it has been the color most used in this new collection. Go figure!  Stampin' Up! will not lead me astray.  This Pale Papaya color is gorgeous!

Let's take a look at the video so you can see it in action. :)

Lisa's Inklings:

Rubber Stamping 101 Tip: Mounting Photopolymer Stamps

Today's video has a tip for mounting the photopolymer stamps on clear blocks.

The high-quality stamps from Stampin' Up! are produced in photopolymer (clear) stamps or in red rubber, cling mount stamps. Our cling red rubber stamps help you stamp images with intricate detail. Our photopolymer clear stamps make it easy to align multiple images on one project.

The ease of use of the photopolymer is awesome but because these are so flexible, there is a tip I'd like to offer for mounting.  Let's take a look...
