Today's project is a simple cardmaking layout with the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Driving By.  When you have a lot of cards to make of the same design, a simple layout is always the way to go.  This one uses just a small piece of designer paper but really makes a statement to set off the stamped and colored image.

The textured background layer anchors it all to the card base.   Using a dry embossed piece such as this one turns a smooth card stock layer into a dramatic piece.  The Tasteful Textile 3 D Embossing Folder [152718] is a good basic one to have since it fits with just about any card style.

Lisa's Inklings:

• The base is Basic White 8 1/2" X 11" Thick Cardstock [159229] cut 4-1/4 x 11 and scored at 5-1/2.
• The textured Highland Heather 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [146986] is cut 4 x 5-1/4 and you will need another piece for the sentiment...cut the strip 5/8" x 5 and trim down.
• The Basic White 8 1/2" X 11" Cardstock [159276] is cut 2-1/2 x 4  for the main image.
• The Sweet Talk 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 Cm) Designer Series Paper [157616] is cut 1-1/2 x 2-1/2.
