Happy National Children's Craft Day!

Little ones (aka Littles) love to craft.  My granddaughters and I always have several craft sessions while we are together.  And, it's usually their idea.

There are so many benefits to crafting for youngsters.  Here are just a few off the top of my head...

  1. It requires the use of their imagination.
  2. It's a great alternative to screen time.
  3. It contributes to the development of an appreciation for the arts.
  4. It helps to develop a sense of accomplishment.

While "our" crating sessions usually involve paper crafts, their possibilities are endless with just a box of crayons, colored pencils, or watercolors and household items.

Here's a nice article on National Children's Craft Day with some ideas and more benefits of crafting.

And, below are a few photos of our two oldest granddaughters with their creations!

Mia loves to glue die-cut and punched shapes and apply self-adhesive embellishments to create collages on card stock or card fronts.

Mia loves to use scissors, too. :) See her little fringe cuts on her design above?

If you are a paper crafter or cardmaker, here are a few suggestions that you might want to have on hand to craft with your "littles".

Another great idea is our Stampin' Up! Kits Collection.  Everything you need arrives in a neat little box in the mail. The kits offered change according to availability but you can't go wrong by checking HERE in my Online Store.

Whatever supplies you use whether paper crafting supplies or household items, encourage your littles to be creative and celebrate National Children's Craft Day.
