Card for A Friend with Waves of the Ocean Designer Series Paper

Today's project is a card for a friend using the Waves of the Ocean Designer Series Paper and a sentiment from the Easter Friends stamp set.

My goal is to share how you can mix and match products, especially our patterned paper, with stamp sets and dies from outside the suite (A suite is a group of like-themed products) and make some beautiful cards.

The Waves of the Ocean Suite includes an early release bundle from the upcoming new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog as well as some limited time coordinating products that are only available while supplies last.

Makeover Magic #1- Double Z Fold

It's Monday and in this post, you'll see my first in a series of Makeover Magic videos featuring a Double Z Fun Fold. In the past, I've shared something similar on Makeover Mondays but this time you'll see an introduction added to a previously recorded video with a project created with different Stampin' Up! products.

In this project, the precious spring-time stamp set, Easter Friends Cling Stamp Set (English) [157737] takes center stage. This stamp set was featured in a previous YouTube Premiere with this cute card.

Let's take a look at the video so you can create this fun fold with products from your stash.

Makeover Magic #1- Double Z Fold

Lisa's Inklings:

The base is Pool Party Cardstock [122924] cut at 4-1/4 x 11 and scored at 2-3/4 and 5-1/2.
The inner Z in Pool Party is cut 3-14 x 10 and scored at 2-3/4 and 5-1/2.
Crushed Curry Cardstock [131199] pieces: (1) 2 x 2-1/2, (2) 2-1/2 x 3.
Basic White Cardstock [159276]: (1) 2 x 2-1/2, 4 x 5 for stamping and die-cutting.
Pattern Party 12" X 12" Host Designer Series Paper [155426] (Host Rewards DSP): (2) 2-1/2 x 4, (1) 5-1/4 x 4.
Misty Moonlight Cardstock [153081]: 1 x 4 (scrap piece for sentiment.
The Seasonal Labels Dies [156299] are not in any current catalog but are carried over from the holiday catalog and can be found in the Online Store.

2022 Easter Fun Fold Center Step Card

With a touch of spring in the air, I couldn't wait to start creating with the Easter Friends stamp set, and this fun fold center step card is was one of the projects from our latest YouTube Premiere.

This spring-themed set from Stampin' Up! has the cutest critters with coordinating sentiments for Easter and Spring. I love how this little bunny's paws are in this sweet pose. Stay tuned... you will be seeing more projects with some of his "friends".

Here is the recording of the premiere from March 3, 2022. This fun fold card is the first project featured and I will be sharing details of the second project next week.

2022 Easter Fun Fold Center Step Card

Lisa's Inklings:

The card base is cut at 4-1/4 x 9 and scored at 1-1/4, 2-1/2, and 5-3/4.
The center step "tent" piece is cut is cut 2-1/4 x 8-1/2 and scored at 5-1/2.
You'll need some Basic White Cardstock [159276] pieces to stamp and cut the bunny and a 3 x 4 piece for the back.
Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper [157670] : (2) 3 x4 and a 1 x 4 piece of the same print. Choose a coordinating piece to cut 2 x 5-1/4.
Assemble as seen in the video.

Fun folds can look complicated but once you know the cutting dimensions and the scores, it's really easy!
