My sweet Dad passed from this life last Friday and we will lay him to rest this Friday. Special thanks to all of you who have prayed for him and expressed your supportive thoughts.
If you could have talked to my Dad during these last few weeks, he would have told you that "it’s a wonderful life and to enjoy life to the fullest!"
He was always so supportive of me and my business and proud of the accomplishments that I have achieved with Stampin’ Up!
In his honor, I’m offering an “It’s A Wonderful Life” promotion.
Place an order of $35 or more by the end of the day on July 31st, and I’ll do a random draw on Monday for three people to receive a $50 gift certificate to use by August 31, 2022.
Thank you for your continued support.
Welcome to our Customer Spotlight with Julie Osuch! Julie is an avid card make and paper crafter and makes many cards each year.
Our Customer Spotlight highlights one of my Stampin' Up! customers that share some information about themselves by answering a short survey. Here's Julie!
1. How long have you been paper crafting?
I started out scrapbooking when my grandkids started coming 38 years ago.
I am now 78 and have graduated to cards. I make cards for my kids, my grandkids, and people
from my church. I make everyone birthday cards, anniversary cards and Christmas cards.
I make cards for 178 people. I have my Christmas cards done for this year.
2. What is your favorite stamp set?
Barn Door. I am not sure if Stampin’ Up! still has this but I certainly made a lot of them.
3. What is your favorite color combination?
My favorite color combination is purple and violet but I like adding different paper textures of
the same color group. Sometimes, I like to machine stitch around the outer layers for added
4. What is your favorite type of paper crafting or technique?
I like to have different textures and layers to my cards. I have just recently started making
many of the same cards to more finely develop my skills. Many times, the card I start out with
is not the same as the cards I end up with. I have most recently been using 5-1/4 x 5-1/4
cards. This gives me more room to develop my scene.
Here's a beautiful card that Julie created...
Special note from Julie: I have two miniature schnauzers in my house and after breakfast, I call to them, "Let's go make cards" and they come running!
Thank you, Julie, for sharing with us!

Today's project features an easy accent fold for your handmade cards. This design was created for our monthly Stars Team Meeting for a Mystery Stamping session. Although simple in design, it's a sweet alternative to a traditional fold for a card.
Here is the recipe and the only details that were given to the Stars Team before our virtual gathering on Zoom:
Base: Basic White 8 1/2" X 11" Cardstock or Very Vanilla 5-1/2 x 8-1/2
Designer Paper: Two pieces- 1 x 4 and 1 x 5-1/2
Colored CS (Pool Party 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock )to coordinate with DSP ( Splendid Day 12" X 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper ): 1/2 X 5 1/2
Punch or Label and Stamp set/bundle (Splendid Thoughts Bundle (English) )
Coordinating Embellishments (Fine Sparkle Adhesive Backed Gems , Soft Sea Foam 3/8" (1 Cm) Seam Binding Ribbon )
Now let's take a look to see how it's all put together.
- You can mix and match your designer paper patterns to your liking. The patterns here are from the Splendid Day 12" X 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- Your label for the main image/sentiment can be punched, die cut, or even a square or rectangle cut with your Paper Trimmer . On this sample, a circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies was used.
- Try this with a colored card base and a Basic White Cardstock accent strip.
Here's another version with a different color scheme...
Try overlapping images especially if outline images like on this card. These from the Splendid Thoughts Bundle (English) are so pretty.
