Seasons of Change
October 17, 2022
This is the beautiful view from the back of our cabin with fall boasting beautiful colors on the adjacent hillside. Once these trees start displaying their colors, it doesn't last long so I was sure to get plenty of photos and FaceTimed family and friends so they could enjoy it, too. There's a definite chill in the air and as I write this blog post, we are expecting the first freeze of the season tonight.
We did "light the heater", as Mom used to say, and I'm wearing a worn but cozy robe that belonged to her. Jackie and I are watching "The Voice" and are waiting on the baseball playoff game to start as my Dad would be if he was still with us. He was a huge Astros fan and we all used to watch and cheer them on together. Memories are priceless.
Life, like seasons, brings change and we must adjust. Treasure each moment, each falling leaf, each life well lived. What a beautiful world and as Dad would say, "It's beautiful, wonderful life."
Very touching. Thank you for sharing, Lisa-
