Diy-gratitude-journal

This simple gratitude journal was featured in a recent LIVE video tutorial on our Ink and Inspirations Facebook Page and YouTube channel.   This simple project and the idea of keeping a gratitude journal is one that would benefit everyone!

  1. Regularly recording things you're thankful for can shift your focus toward positive aspects of your life.
  2. Gratitude journaling can reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety. It helps you manage stress.
  3. Expressing gratitude for the people in your life can improve your relationships. It shows appreciation and can build stronger connections.
  4. Acknowledging your own accomplishments and the positive aspects of your life can boost your self-esteem.
  5. Keeping a gratitude journal encourages you to be present in the moment and pay attention to the good things around you.

Let's look at the how-to then read on for the details so you can make your own.

Lisa's Inklings:

  • Cut designer paper at 4" x 8".
  • Score at 4" on the 8" side and 1" from the bottom.
  • Trim inner corners of pocket as shown in the video.
  • Adhere outer edges of pocket.
  • Cut 2 pieces of of Basic White at 4" x 2 3/4".  Add a 1/2" strip of coordinating designer paper as shown in video.
  • You can add ribbon as a closure or leave without.  I decided to take the ribbon off of my gratitude journal.
