Paper Crafts for Kids- Lyla's Valentines

Give kids paper and glue and they are ready to be creative so paper crafts really come naturally to them.  This week, Lyla worked with me on her Valentines and wanted to do most of the work herself.

In the first picture (above), you can see her using the Paper Trimmer [152392] to slip in her cut card stock to score for the card fold.

I helped her line up the edge on the 3" mark and then she scored all of the the cards with the light gray scoring blade.

She was using the Bone Folder [102300] like a pro giving each card a good crease.  There is a mini video of  this in action on my Facebook page.

In this photo, she's adding our Multipurpose Liquid Glue [110755] to a piece of the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper [154577]...a pattern that she chose.

Lyla-5Here she is applying the designer paper to the card front.  She was sure to turn the paper so that the snails would be right side up. :)

Lyla-7The liquid glue would allow her to slide the paper around to center it on the card front.

We chose a heart stamp and "just for you" sentiment from Kangaroo & Company Photopolymer Stamp Set [154502].  She colored the stamps with a marker from the Regals Stampin' Write Markers [147155].  We found a punch that would work to cut out the images.

Lyla-9She glued each of the punched circles to the card fronts.  The Valentines are ready except for her to sign her name on the inside of each card.  These 3 x 3 cards are the perfect size for Valentines.  You can even tape or glue a little treat to the inside or the back of each card.

Now that you've read this post, I hope you are inspired to create and craft with the little ones in your life.  Have fun and happy crafting!

Take care...Lisa

The bright colors and fun kit for cardmaking is top notch but even better is the idea to pass the box along to share a bit of sunshine with someone you love!

On my order this month were three kits...one for each of my daughters' families and the other for my sister in law to share!

Here's the outside and how the boxes were decorated with elements from inside the kit.

No photo description available.

The label and the die cut adhesive stickers were included in the kit for decorating the box for gift giving.

Here's the inside of one of the boxes.

That cute honey bee teething toy is from Amazon.

The suckers that had wraps other orange or yellow had a special handmade treat wrap.

Lyla loved the Dino Days magnet and the hair scrunchie handmade by Honey. :)
