Happy Easter Card with Spring Florals

A Simple Easter Card to Bless Someone

There’s something especially meaningful about sending an Easter card because it carries a message of hope.

As part of this week’s Rooted in Kindness: Preparing Hearts for Spring theme, I’m sharing a cheerful Easter design that is simple to create and perfect for ministry, family, friends or even your child’s or grandchild’s teacher.

This card uses the sweet Happy Easter sentiment from the Reason to Celebrate stamp set, and I just love how it pairs with these pretty florals and gingham layers.

The Card Design Details

This design features:

  • A soft Balmy Blue card base layered with a gingham pattern
  • A floral focal point divided into sections for interest
  • A soft blue ribbon tied neatly at the side
  • A few sparkling rhinestones for a touch of shine

This layout feels clean and balanced but with a point of interest to make the sentiment stand out.

Easter cards do not have to be ornate and fancy. A simple, cheerful, and heartfelt card is exactly right. That along with a handwritten message of hope will be so appreciated.

Watch the Short Video Tutorial

You can see this card come together in today’s short-form video below.

It’s a quick project with a layout that you could easily adapt for encouragement, thinking-of-you, or even birthday cards.

Lisa’s Inklings

If you’d like to recreate this design:

  • Experiment with your patterned paper with different sized squares or panels.
  • Add a thin mat layer behind your main image to make it pop.
  • Go easy on your embellishments so not to “outshine” the sentiment.
  • Tie the ribbon into an easy knot if mailing flat is important.

And most importantly, think about who will receive it before you even begin.

That is the best inspiration!
