2021 Blessing Box with Stampin' Up! Gorgeous Leaves

Blessing-box-with-3-x-3-cards

This Blessing Box is a special project and the 2021 version is created with the beautiful Gorgeous Leaves Bundle by Stampin' Up!

The idea behind the Blessing Box came to me when so many would often tell me how much it meant to receive a card from me.  And, when my brother told me that he's kept every card that I've ever made for him.  It made me think about those who never receive a little "paper hug" in the mail.  How could that be changed even if only for just a few?

And, thus, the Blessing Box was created.  A little box that holds 3 x 3 cards with a kind phrase, a verse from God's Word, or an uplifting message...just a random act of kindness.  There is no signature, no credit; just sharing in hopes that it will be a blessing in someone's day.

The video goes into a little more detail about how these are shared so I hope you'll watch and make plans to create your Blessing Box.

2021 Stampin' Up! Christmas Season Card and Gift Bag

2021-Stampin-up-christmas-season-card-gift-bagYou are going to love these coordinating 2021 Stampin' Up! Christmas Season Card and Gift Bag!

The card is a fun fold that looks a little more tricky than it actually is and the bag is super simple.  And, the pine cones from the Christmas Season Bundle (English) [156801]are so realistic with the two-step stamping technique on Crumb Cake card stock against the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper [156292] background.  These elements make for a really special project.

2021 Stampin' Up! Christmas Card with Easy Techniques

2021-Stampin-Up-Christmas-Card-techniques-angels-of-peaceThis project is a 2021 Stampin' Up! Christmas card that I hope you will love as much as I do!  With some easy techniques that you can add or omit, this card will be a pretty favorite that your friends and family will love!

The Angels Of Peace Cling Stamp Set (English) [156365] is one that can be used during the Christmas season or any time of year.  This little one carries a little holly sprig and there is a more mature angel.  Both are super sweet and pretty and are fun to color.

This project was originally seen on my YouTube Premiere last week.  You can tune in there on most Thursday evenings to see a new project or two and participate in the LIVE chat.

Here's a look at this card in the making with those easy techniques that I mentioned earlier.

2021 Stampin' Up! Christmas Card with Easy Techniques

Lisa's Inklings:

Download the Ink and Inspirations Project Sheet PDF Here. This PDF contains project details with measurements and a complete listing of supplies used on this card.

You can save this PDF (linked above) to your files on your device or print it to keep on file.

2021-Stampin-Up-Christmas-Card-techniques-angels-of-peace-2

You can create this card without all the techniques and it would still be a beautiful card and much easier to mass-produce. And, you could always re-create it in a different color scheme.  It would be so pretty in traditional colors, too.  What do you think about this card in pink?  I am loving this color palette featured in the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper [156329].

Now that you've read this post, get the supplies you need to make this card. Thank you for tuning in today for this 2021 Stampin' Up! Christmas card with easy techniques.

Make Your Handmade Card Into A Gift for Christmas

2021-Stampin-Up-Christmas-card-and-ornament

Here's a tip for making your handmade Christmas card into a gift!

Not too long ago, these ornaments were shared as one of my YouTube Premieres as well as here on the blog.

I knew that these ornaments would make a great focal point for a Christmas card but wanted to come up with a plan so that these could still be used as an ornament thereby making the card into a gift!

Watch the video below for the plan then we will chat more about it afterward.

When A Card Is Also A Gift

Lisa's Inklings:

  • You only need a small dab of glue for this to work.  Start small then add more if needed.
  • As mentioned in the video, you can create almost any shape/label into an ornament.
  • Before placing the ornament on the card, sign the back and date it.
  • Be sure to include instructions inside the card for removing the ornament.

2021-Stampin-Up-Christmas-card-and-ornament-2Here's another card idea with a similar ornament.  There are really quite a few possibilities...just take a look through your supplies!

Before you go, just a few thoughts:

  • If you've ever thought about joining our community of stampers, now is a great time!  We have a lot of fun in our Facebook group encouraging each other and sharing our love of the craft! And, we have become friends through our ZOOM meetings even though we are scattered across the U.S.  While anytime is a great time to join us, if you join before the end of the day on Thursday, September 30th, you get to add an additional bundle to your Starter Kit!  Want to know more or talk about it?  Give me a call! 409-719-2853.
  • Every Thursday evening, there is a new Premiere video on my YouTube channel.  You can go there on Thursdays, 7 PM ET, 6 PM CT, 5 PM MT, and 4 PM PT and participate in the LIVE chat with us.
