As we begin Thanksgiving week here in the U.S., I thought I'd share a remake from a past project...a Thanksgiving table favor. This is a little bag to hold mints or a little gift and you can customize it to go with your tablescape or any event.
Here's the video, along with a pretty napkin fold by my husband, Jackie. Enjoy!
Lisa's Inklings:
Cut the designer paper to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2.
Score on the long side at 2,4,6 and 8.
Turn and score what will be the box bottom at 2".
Assemble as shown in the video.
Enjoy your week as you prepare for Thanksgiving! If you make some of these table favors, send a photo...I'd love to see!
If you're looking for an easy way to make line art images stand out without the need for coloring, heat embossing is the technique to try! I love this technique, especially when creating Christmas cards. The combination of heat embossing on colored card stock gives your projects a polished look with minimal effort.
In today’s project, I’m sharing a card design using the Yuletide Village stamp set. This set is perfect for this technique. For this particular card, I used red card stock, which pairs beautifully with heat-embossed designs, adding warmth and a festive feel to the holiday season.
Take a moment to watch the video below where I’ll walk you through the process and share tips to get the best results.
Try this technique for your holiday cards with the Yuletide Village stamp set and watch the images pop on the front of your cards.

For this today’s project, we have a simple cardmaking technique, what I like to call the Window Pane Technique, that incorporates the Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper. The pattern papers from this collection have soft colors and traditional designs that complement these stamps beautifully.
In this video, I’ll walk you through the process of how to use these patterned papers to make a simple yet stunning backdrop for your sentiments and images.
Lisa's Inklings:

This religious set captures the essence of faith and comfort, featuring delicate watercolor-style elements that tell the story of the birth of Jesus. The Blessing Box has become a cherished tradition that I love to share with you each year, and the 2024 version is crafted using the Stampin' Up! Autumn Expressions and Courage & Faith stamp sets.
The inspiration for the Blessing Box came from the responses I’d often receive when people told me how much a card from me meant to them. My brother even shared that he had saved every card I’d ever given him, which truly touched my heart. It made me think of those who may rarely receive these little “paper hugs” in the mail. How could I spread that warmth to others, even if only a few?
And so, the Blessing Box was born. It’s a small, heartfelt box filled with little cards that carry a kind message, a scripture verse, or an uplifting thought—a simple act of kindness with no signature, no recognition, just a hope that it will brighten someone’s day and remind them they’re cared for.
This project was the subject in this week's LIVE video and you can view the recording below. (Please excuse the echo!)
As we continue the week spotlighting the Autumn Expressions Bundle, here's a tip for cutting some beautiful scenic paper such as the Splendid Autumn collection.
When working with scenic papers like Splendid Autumn, finding the right section to showcase on your card is both a fun and rewarding challenge. Each sheet has its own unique details, and sometimes it’s all about choosing the perfect area to cut and feature.
I’ve been creating a series of thank you cards with this technique and the Autumn Expressions stamp set adds the perfect sentiments to these cards.
Take a look at the video below, where I walk through my process of selecting and cutting the Splendid Autumn paper to highlight the specific section for this card.

Each year at Halloween, I create some little Halloween treat holders for our granddaughter Mia to take to school for backpack treats. Backpack treats distributed into each student's backpack and sent home as a fun treat.
The Halloween Spells Designer Series Paper and Sticker Sheetpacks were just right for what I had in mind for these treat pockets. I did order two of these packs so there would be enough stickers for the 30 treat pockets. (We can always use extra paper, right? The reverse side of these designer papers can be used for other projects...not just for Halloween.)
Here's a video tutorial with the simple assembly.
These treat pockets are sized for treat sized candy bags, mini candy bars, or small favors.
Lisa's Inklings:
Cut designer paper 4" x 6".
Score on 6" side at 1 1/2" and 4 1/4".
Turn and score on what will be the bottom at 1/2".
